In the past years, I had submitted a few stories to Literotica that were rejected for being too violent.

I now see that you have a relatively new Erotic Horror category that contains violent stories.

Should I re-submit those rejected stories again, to this new category?

Ahh I don't know..i guess it depends on the type of violece in your story.

-a word from the non-horrifc EL :)

Hi HungryGuy,

I know your query was directed at Laurel, but I'll attempt to give you a response, from my own experience of the category.

Yes, by all means, submit your stories to Erotic Horror, but also bear in mind that certain limitations still stand within that category. Violence is ok, provided it isn't gratuitous and overtly "snuff" in content.

This question has been raised many, many times here, and the general consensus always seems to be (as EL said, above), it all depends on the type of violence.

I have a couple of violent stories here, both posted in erotic horror, but the violence was not over the top and it either moved the plot forward, or it explained the actions and/or showed the motivations of one of the characters.

So, yep, give it a go. Nothing to lose and all that.

I don't think 'gratuitous violence' would be a problem at all.

The label is pretty subjective.

Re-submit.
