Anyone remember that bit on the Muppet Show? I loved the Muppet Show as a kid. An episode that stands out in my memory is the one in which Alice Cooper guest starred, and sung "Welcome To My Nightmare" to a whole gaggle of eerie puppets. I also liked the one in which John Denver (who lived on the show, I think) sang "Nobody Knows The Truffles I've Seen" to an audience of Muppet mushrooms.

Any other Muppet fans out there? Cheffie? Beaker?

Loved that show. Used to have a thing for Miss Piggie. Damn, I was a weird kid.

I was relatively young when the Muppet Show was on but I remember watching it often. When I was a freshman in college and wigged out from insomnia and chemical concoctions...I went through this mini-phase of needing to watch Muppet Show episodes. I dont remember who, but someone hooked me up with tapes of the show. I watched them all and havnt seen a show since. I moved on to a Herculoids obsession the next week.

Those two critics in the balcony, they pop up in my dreams sometime. I'm thinking I can blame them for my wise-ass tendencies.

She was LOADED with sex appeal. Kermit never seemed to have that kind of sexual vibe. Or maybe I just don't dig frogs, I dunno.

I loved the Muppet Show when I was younger. They came out with a new Muppet Show about 7 years ago, but it just wasn't the same. No Kermit, no original characters. It's too bad, since I now realize that the show was more geared towards adults than to children...

Called Muppets Tonight, and there were some original characters there....

Ok- there were, but they weren't the main characters. The main character was some Muppet with dreads and a bad Jamaican accent.

It isn't easy being green.

Kermit had issues.

Clifford... he was co-host with Kermit.

I LOVED Sam Eagle and the band was still there... Randy+Andy Pig who also starred in a baywatch takeoff.

Forgive me, I saw the last two movies, first week were in the cinema's... and with Muppet Treasure Island incited all the kid into yelling Muppets out while watching the movie... The parents were going mad, and I was laughing my guts out.

Odd that, on the TV show, Kermit ignored Miss Piggy, yet in all the Muppet movies the sparks are certainly flying between Kermie and the Divine Miss P.

I loved that show. Dr. Bunsen Honeydew and Beaker, Dr. Teeth and the Electric Mayhem, the Great Gonzo, Fozzie Bear. Great writing, great performing, great guests.

Bort bort bort!

You mention the baywatch parody without mentioning Spamela Hamderson? tsk, tsk tsk.

I have both of the "muppet show albums" on cassette tapes and listen to them often.

I'm pretty sure it was Bay of Piggswatch but couldn't be bothered looking it up

Yet another reason why Harold is still The King.

Basia... you have to be 18 to be here therefore muppets are NOT before your time.

I am 18 and the Muppets are before my time. I remember wating the Muppet Babies, but never the origional Muppets show (unless it was in re-runs). There was that "New" Muppets show about 5 years ago, but that dosn't count.

Bring on Dr.Tooth and the Electric Mayhem............I had a thing for Animal.........what can i say, it's the drums lol.......

Statler and Waldorf, God I loved those two old coots. They seem to share my sense of humor. Don't remember much of my childhood, but those two put a smile on my face.
