I got my right nipple pierced four days short of seven months ago. I know that surface piercings are the most likely to reject, but I have never had a problem with this before (two ear piercings and a belly button one). The problem is that it just rejected. I had a feeling it would for a little less than a week now, but I was kind of hoping I was wrong. My question is: what do I do now? I kind of got attached to having a less than perfectly common piercing. I may or may not want to do this again, depending on a couple factors, including people's experiences with repiercing after a rejection, especially nipple ones. How long does it take to get to a point where it is healed enough to do a repierce (if an estimate, the high end of that, especially given the healing time of my other piercings being longer than normal)? Regardless of whether I do it again or not, what can I do to insure it heals properly and with minimal scarring?
So what do you think?
P.S. I will post a picture if 1) someone who can give a professional (preferably piercer's) opinion thinks it will help and 2) if it is okay to do so (I'm a little fuzzy on forum rules regarding this).
P.P.S. Given the fact that this one rejected, does that increase the chance that another one (perhaps on my left nipple) would reject?
