I posted on the photo forum and I'm rather disheartened. I've gotten 111 views, and not a single reply! So my question is this : Can someone tell me How To... get replies.

I know it sounds silly but I've seen people of all shapes and sizes get comments... it's kinda a kick to the digital nuts.

(Yeah I know. I shouldnt be fishing for compliments, but after getting hurt recently by a barrage of women I feel it could really help me feel a little better. Thanks)

post more
thats about the only way
it takes a while for people to start commenting
I"s suggest trying in an other thread first
many people have started threads for asses, pussies, cocks, balls, titties what have you

Thanks, that helps a bit.
no problem

I think the reason you dont get many replies is because the threads get burried so quickly

if you start off in a pre-made thread more people will see
so you will have people bumping your thread when you make it

hope it helps :)

That makes sense. I dont really use forums... didnt think things got buried... well thanks for the help, it was needed.

Men generally get fewer replies than women in the first place. The suggestion to post more in general is a good one, and you may want to put a link to your thread in your sig, using the blue globe/chain icon on top of the text field so people can see you have pics when you're posting in different threads.

I'm sorry you got hurt. :rose: In my experience, the best way to boost self-esteem here is to get to know others via posting, use an attractive avatar (you can put up a profile pic while you're earning your 100 posts), and be yourself. You'll attract positive attention, forge friendships, and be able to get meaningful feedback and compliments that way.

Personally, the feedback in AmPics doesn't do much for me because it's not specific, varied or constructive. A specific, unsolicited compliment or suggestion on my AV/posts/story means a lot more in my book, especially since there's no requirement for people to be kind. The forums have been a great tool for me to open up and build confidence, and I've found most of that has come about organically, just through posting and being myself.

In short, don't worry about what happens with your pic thread, and invest your time and energy into becoming part of this great community (which AmPics can certainly be a part of, but you'll likely find more by participating elsewhere as well) because you're probably going to have more success in building your confidence and self-esteem by doing so. :)

ETA: I forgot to mention I took a look at your thread (good call not starting off with the infamous cock pics), and thought you looked very nice. I always find body parts alone and the lack of faces/heads a turn off. :)

Thanks, that helps a lot. Actually after reading that I feel rather foolish for the whole thing but rather than focus on perhaps the negative reasons (looking for attention) or the things I could have done, I think I'm going to take your suggestions to heart. Thanks for the advice!

Oh and about the pics yeah. I wanted to feel attractive, not slutty :p maybe one day I'll want that sort of attention... but at this point I'm glad you gave me a positive feedback. I didnt realize the AmPic forum was postive repsonses only.

Awww thanks! I appreciate that... so all I'm missing is ass shots :p I'll oblige once I'm home

Problem is that you're a guy. Ok there are a couple of men that are quite popular but by far (far far) it's the women that get all the attention and get fawned all over and stuff.

The most unpopular woman on here will still get ten times more attention than the most popular guy. Especially if she shows her boobs.

It shouldn't be a problem that I'm a guy. I wasnt expecting 10k views/comments... but not even one after 111 views was disappointing.

yeah
you've got more veiws on a smaller ammount of pictures than me
but I've put my pictures into other threads
I plan on making my own thread soon though
need a hair cut first

also
dont get freaked out if a dude starts talking to you about your pictures
had that happen a few times
no harm no foul though

gl mate

Lol, nah. Attention is attention. I'm open minded enough to accept compliments from everyone.

thats what I say
it is a bit of a suprise though

Wouldnt be a first for me, one of the girls I dated her brother kept saying lewed things. I'm sure if you get a guy compliment here, it's a little more polite :p

re

Signature does indeed help, then when you post on other forums, you might get some people dropping by. Time of day and number of people on Lit also matters, weekends seem to be best.

But in the end, women have more luck with their own threads, guys are just more visual when it comes to these sorts of things.

Finally, a link. I could have gone to the AM Pic forum and searched, but I'm lazy like that.

Lol, I dont really use forums, so it took me a while to figure out how to do it.

Edit to correct spelling :p
