Here is how I broke myself of that bad habit, keep a side notebook, write your idea's there, right? Every time you try and think of that idea again, snap yourself hard with a ruberband that's on your wrist.

This is called "Operant Conditioning," if it can teach pidgeons to bowl, and mice to run long puzzle filled mazes and drive toy cars, it can teach you to not lose track.
