Behold! I, Shendude (Who the hell is that?), have returned from lurkerdom to bring you a thread that may be in the wrong forum*! (if it is, could a mod please move it? Thanks)

While tooling around the internet, I found this rather large chart of nude fantasy females of many and varied species, made by one Isaac Horn**:

I also found a thread somewhere asking folks to pick a "harem" from said females. I thought this was an interesting question, and decided to ask it of the folks around here.

So:

Question the first: If you were asked to pick a harem consisting of one girl from each box on this list, based solely on their appearance presented in that image (thus, no making choices based on your extant knowledge of a species), which ones would you pick? Answers should ideally include the species name, their alphanumeric, and a reason, although two out of three would be sufficient. You may pick second place choices for this question.

Question the second: As above, but pick only one girl from each horizontal row.

Question the third: As above, but pick only one girl from each vertical row.

Question the fourth: Any sixteen girls.

Question the fifth: Any four girls.

Question the sixth, and last: Are there any girls listed you simply would not fuck?

A1, Sphynx: A certain amount of curiosity is involved, as I want to know what it's like screwing a quadraped; also she has a very sultry look. Second place goes to A2, Cat Folk: Just to show that I've got nothing against furries.
B5, Orc: Has the biggest boobs. Second place goes to B3, Amazon: So very, very fit.
C1, Gnome: She's just so CUTE, and her expression is delightfully playful; also, I'm curious about what it would be like to be with someone so small. Second place goes to C4, Quickling; again, she looks quite playful and fun-loving.
D4, Drull: That tongue... Second place goes to D1, Deep Human; she's a hot goth chick, what's not to love?
E1, Troll: Remember my second point about the Gnome? Like that in reverse; so tall... Also, GREEN-SKIN GIRL (I'm a sci-fi fan). Second place goes to E3: Spriggan, for basically the same reason.
F2, Djinni: Gotta have blue-skin. Second-place goes to F4, Leprechaun, for basically the same reasons as the Gnome.
G2, Siren: The way she's posed with the mermaid makes me think she'd pretty kinky. Also, GREEN-SKIN GIRL, and like the Drull, that tongue... Second place goes to G3, Medusa: I've always had a thing for snake-chick, and I like her "hair".
H2, Rakshasa: She's very regal, it should be interested to see how that translates when in bed. Second place goes to H3, Lamia: That particular combination of humanoid and not humanoid traits intrigues me.
I1, Shryne: Basically the same reasons as the Siren. Second place goes to I2, Vytherine: I imagine she'll love me long time.
J4, Sky Nymph: I like her expression (actually the same can be said for all the girls in this box), and she has a second mouth on her tail, dude! Second place goes to J5, Pandoran. The combination of bald head and elongated body just does it for me; so exotic.
K1, Sproutling: Green-skin, fun expression, big breasts, general exoticness; total package there. Second place goes to K2, Gigas: as with the Amazon, so magnicently fit.
L1, Ettercap: All those arms and legs gets my kinky side going. Second place goes to L2, Sauhagin: I like the exotic ones, in case you haven't guessed.
M2, Harpy: What's it like to make love wrapped in wings? I want to find out! Second place goes to M1, Succubus: Because she looks less forbidding than the Seraph.
N5, Trixie: She looks playful and fun-looking, while the rest seem quite dour. Second-place goes to N1, Lulari: She seems to be the least angry of the remaining three in that box.
O1, Vampire: I like her smile. Second place goes to O3, Wraith: So mysterious, and thus intriguing.
P5, Nymph: That sultry face. That coquettish pose. Those tits. Second place goes to P8, Nereid: Her pose suggests a sassy attitude that I like.

*In defense of placing the thread here, I'm hoping that this may inspire folks to discuss/write about the potential sexiness of non-humanoids.

**From what I've been able to understand, it was made to advertise an adult comic entitled Feral; based on a cursory websearch, said comic may be defunct, but I'm not sure. Be that as it may, several of the races presented are of Mr. Horn's own creation, and are apparently copyrighted, although I'm not sure which, other than the Drull, which definitely is.

The quadraped or hexapod ones like Lamia, Centaur, and Sphinx do intrigue me, they're just not at the top of my list. Same with the elfy ones, particularly D2 Nylpid since it has a tail, and also the two wolf-like ones and the dinosaur-like one.

Interesting choices. Personally, I found the Harpy's lack of arms added to her appeal; makes her more exotic. I'm also curious as to what you have against red- and green-skin, and what you have against lack of hands.

*Checks* So it is. Wow. It sure felt longer than that. So, do you have any picks, and.or thoughts about the attractiveness of these non-human gals?

Anyways, here is a link to that thread I mentioned from whence I got the idea. Also, it seems that the creator of the chart did a poll of his own. Here is him reporting the results, which are pretty weird to my eyes:

The Feral Race pics were 16 pictures with 3-7 "attractive" female examples of various fantasy races (or as attractive as their respective fantasy race can get). I asked viewers to pick their top 5 favorite fantasy fems. Here are the results:

8th places: The Dwarf, High elf, Quickling, Nylpid, Drull, Moren, DryadPandoran, Imp?, Centaur, Sahaugin, and Vytherine were all picked only once.

7th places: The Orc, Djinni, Leprechaun, Luren, Trixie, Sylphid, Litc?..wow..Gnoll, Spriggand, Lamia, and Siren were all voted on 2 times, which I think is generous for some of these wicked ladies.

6th places: Sylvan elf, Deep human, Cuar, Mordreg, Nerim, Vampire, Banshee, Gigas?, Night wolf??, and Naga all were voted for 3 times each.

5th places: Nymph, Sphinx, Werewolf?, and Weaver received 4 votes each. Some did worse than I expected.

4th places: Amazon, Gylphid, Ettercap, Sproutling and Mermaid all received 5 voted each.

3rd places: Dark elf, Succubus, Shryne, Salamander, ans Medusa (gorgon) were voted on 6 times each.

2nd place: Lulari was the only one voted on 7 times all by here lonesome.

1st places: Fianally the Wraith(wraith??), and Sky Nymph each received 8 votes each.

Wow the wraith got first place? I expected the Sky nymph to do well, but the wraith? Well there you have it. Any other fantasy fems that aren't here didn't get voted on once. They are all in 9th places. Poor ladies. But seriously guys, the Litch? She beat so many hotties that didn't even get voted on. Oh well. I picked orc as one of my faves. What we can concur is that people like cute aliens and undead goth girls.
Let me know of any thoughts, outburst, shocks, and I guess opinions on the results.

Either they're not really "people", or they are horribly handicapped. Either way it would freak me out to have a sex partner like that.

Grey-green and red are just two of my most unfavorite colors. Orange is another. I'm pretty sensitive to colors - it's one of the reasons I am an artist; because if I see, for example, a beautifully colored tube of paint, that makes me eager to find some excuse to put it on a canvas.

I...suppose I can see your point. I'm not sure I agree with it, but I see it. Although then I have to wonder; you stated that the Sphynx, which is equally handless, "intrigues" you. Why the exception in this case?

Query: do you still feel unable to answer the full panoply of questions?

So it's the shade of green you dislike, not green in general? Because as a Sci-Fi fan, I'd feel obligated to fight you (metaphorically speaking) if you were dissing Green-Skin Girls in general.

Oh, does the sphinx not have thumbs? I was assuming its front paws were dexterous, I'm less interested if they aren't. Anyway, no need for others to agree with this preference of mine. I have no problem with others being attracted to creatures which don't have hands, it just is a personal squick.

I do like some shades of green. I like forest green, blue-green, gold-green, and even electric lime green can look nice if properly contrasted with a dark purple or black.

The Drull reminds me strongly of other raptor-inspired species I've seen in fantasy and science fiction art. The scales on the throat and top of the head suggest something reptilian. Perhaps it is supposed to be a cross between the naga and a humanoid, but anything reptilian which has feet automatically looks like a lizard/dino instead of a snake, and if it stands on its hind legs it automatically looks more like a dinosaur than like a lizard.

Not really sure I see the point of questions 1-4; it would be simpler to just rank them all in order of preference and comment on each one.

#6 - I would not do a male version of the spider L1 Ettercap. Fortunately there are no zombie-like creatures in this list, or I'd be excluding them all, because EW. The playable and NPC undead in WoW freak me out. Other than that there aren't any that really disgust me. The Pandoran's neck is kind of odd, but probably I'd get used to it if I was around a being of that race for a few days. I'm not really interested in stocky builds like dwarves or those bulging with muscle like the gigas, amazon, or orc, nor am I really enthusiastic about creatures which have snake tails or fish tails or a plant instead of legs, but a particularly charming individual might win me over.

I'm curious; what do you think of the undead girl in my current (November '11) avatar?

Really? I'll grant the Orc (is why I picked her, although I also like her expression for some reason), but the Amazon's bust is fairly reasonable given her height. And the Dwarf is less busty than the Nymph.

To be honest, I could've gone either way between the human and the amazon. But the human is less muscular, so I suppose I find that a little more attractive. And yes, the Nymph might be bustier, but she wears it better. I think maybe her curves just work better together to pull it off. Not sure, can't really explain it. Besides, I like the whole package with the Nymph; pose, long black hair, pout.

D3 - Cuar: She's the least evil-looking.

What's evil-looking about the Nylpid?

Nylpid looks like she just wants to fight/argue with everyone. I come from a family like that, so I find it a really unattractive characteristic.

M3 - Seraph: She seems like the nicest one.

You don't find her expression and pose forbidding?

I think it's only meant to be forbidding if you're evil. She looks like a righteous warrior type - a protector. So long as you have a good heart, she's your friend.

I guess, but not to the same extent. Nylpid's mouth is open, like she's in the midst of shouting at someone. Moren looks a degree or two less ferocious. Besides, I like Moren's ponytails.

I suppose, although I think you're reading into her being an angel.

Possibly. It's hard to block out a mythology you've grown up with. But I think there's a lot of visual cues that suggest her nature, too. White is a color we naturally associate with goodness/purity. The archetypal hero is the white knight, the villain is the black knight. That's why the grand cathederals favored white marble as a building material - to be symbolic of the sanctity/purity of the holy ground.

Since this thread keeps catching my attention and apparently won't die and frankly has some of the oddest conversations I've ever looked into.

Box A: 1. The Sphynx. She's already on all fours ready for use at any point. Besides the cat girl is TOO catlike for my preferences and the imp is (assuming the cat folk is roughly five feet all) far too small.

Box B: 3. The Amazon. What can I say? Bigger really is better. A healthy second place goes to the dwarf who seems to exude a confifence that the human is lacking. Goblin is too small. Orc girl is a tad bulky but not bad.

Box C: 2. The High Elf. I like blonds. Second goes to the Slyan elf but honestly nobody in that box would be rejected if they wanted a spot in the harem.

Box D: 2. The Nylpid. The deep human would have won if she didn't have the claw glove. Only number 4, the Drull would be kicked out. (Also I think the reason someone described it as a dinosaur is it's eyes, tongue, and tail are all clearly reptilian. Also the long neck and we're only familar with one group of bipedal reptiles.

Box E: 2. The centaur. The troll is ugly and the Spriggan too odd looking (though I might not reject her if she offered her services.

Box F: 2. The Djinni. I like blue skin, but the truth is I'm killing the hobgoblin and then taking the entire box. It's worth noting that if I already had a blue chick at this point and didn't have that dark skinned Amazon from earlier this could easily have gone with number 1. I'm also curious if the fire on an Efreeti is dangerous or if it's magical and an extention of their will. No good having a girl who'd brand you if she wrapped her legs around you or burn down your house if her head hit the pillows.

Box G. 3. I'm gonna go with a wierd one here and trust Medusa and her over abundance of mouths to use on me. The mermaid and Siren are welcomg as well, I'm curious about tentacles. The Naga and Salamander however need to GTFO

Box H: 2. The Rakasha. The werewolf is too animalistic for me and the Lamia would just get in a fight with the Sphinx who's already fulfilling that particular kink. If they can get along she can come too though.

Box I: 1. The Shryne. She's got everything the vytherine has plus cool colors and tentacles. The vytherine is welcome to come as well. The Drull needs to be killed with fire.

Box J: 3. The Nyrim. I don't have a pink one yet. Honestly though after kindly letting that Pandoran go home I'm just taking that whole fucking box. It's amazing.

Box K: 1. Sproutling. The Gigas is welcome to come.

Box L: 4. Gnoll. Normally the lack of human features would be a problem. I might let the fish girl come too if she made a convincing argument. The ettercap will be melted in acid.

Box M: 1. The Succubus, mostly cus I don't have a bright red one with a tail yet. I find it really difficult however here to separate my knowledge of the creatures from the choice. The angel may very well be the frigid bitch she both looks like and mythology would suggest. The succubus is literally designed for sex. I'd probably take the box if I could though.

Box N: 5. That's I can only have one is the height of cruelty. I'm taking the one that looks most likely to surprise me, and I don't have one that color yet. Still honestly i want that entire fucking box.

Box O: 1. Vampire. She looks playful. The Wraith has no nose and looks like she'd still manage to look down at me from it. The other two are welcome.
Box Q: 2. Undine. My girflriend the nightlight! Honestly I'm taking that entire box. Again this is a hard one to separate my knowledge of mythology on. I want to pick the Nymph because I know what she is!

Ah. Well, I usually hang around SF/F related boards, or erotica boards, and one board that's about Superhero erotica, so my threshold of what constitutes "odd" is, I suppose, higher than most.

If you don't mind, I'm now going to ask you to clarify a few points.

There is a little height bar at the left of each box; the Cat Folk is a bit shy of 6', not counting the ears, the Imp is a bit taller than 3', not counting the wings.

Only number 4, the Drull would be kicked out.

It's interesting to me how so many dislike the Drull. What is your reason?

Hang on. You nixed the Imp and Goblin for being too small, but the Undine is smaller than either of them. Also, you're okay with the Gnome and the Leprechaun, which are in the height range.
