My pic was an experiment with two images. It's a Photoshop composite. The moon was a separate image approx 90 degrees to the right of the other, it was setting in the West. The other image was looking South. Both were taken in the Navajo Nation near Shiprock, NM.

It's nicely done. I thought for a moment it was Monument Valley.

That is the Chrysler building in NYC and I have seen the moon rise that big over the skyline from RT 3 on the Jersey side. But it is still possibly a photoshop job.

Ya sure, and you've probably also seen a large ape climbing up it as well!

Might be Photoshop, could be the effects of something like a 500mm lens.

I don't think it would need to be 500mm, wouldn't that compress it quite a bit? it's not that far away. South east of the building looking towards Queensboro bridge; visible on the right of the building, from a relatively tall building. Maybe 50 to 100mm lense maybe 8 to 10 blocks away

Just spitballin though.

Yours is Monument Valley, Utah? good shot though.

Shop. Wrong moon phase for time and position, at least to my eyes.
