Hey everyone! I thought i would just put in my two cents about photography and maybe some of you would find it useful! Mods…please feel free to move this posting if needed.

First off, a big TY to everyone who has posted here in the feedback thread, you're all awesome and brave! We all love to check this daily and see who posted some new erotica, so i thought id lend some tips for taking a better photograph and maybe seeing yourself in a different light. These go for both men and women!

- Higher angles! Never shoot up! Its never flattering, even for the twigs. You want a higher angle because it diminishes some of the extra lbs/chins/nipples/fingers etc! Now, you can shoot up at certain things to make them look bigger…cough cough guys…and gals.

- More light. Duh! The more light you have the better the photo will be, especially if your using a phone. Phones have small sensors and need a lot of light or the photo will look muddy and grainy. Now don't get me wrong, sometimes you want less light to capture a mood but I'm just taking in general terms for this one. Find a window. Window light is almost always soft and diffused and with nice fall off. Also, if you overexpose yourself just a bit, you may like it better. Overexposure hides things like lines, wrinkles and blemishes.

- Framing. Use the rule of thirds for your safe photos…and then brake that rule for more "artsy" photos! Its photography…make it your own.

- No flash!!! Never ever! Unless you're in a studio and have some lights set up. Use the light that is available. You will like the photo better. Trust me.

- Postion your body right. Ladies…throw out a hip and arch your back. This will give you a nice "S" curve and really show off your curves and hide what you don't want to be seen.

- Be aware of your background. Old socks and a messy bed may work for some type of mood your trying to set, but not all the time. This is digital, so take a photo, check, and repeat.

- Post process. Don't go crazy and change everything in the photo but have fun with some apps and filters. Sometimes this gives photos the extra kick it needs. Light handed….nothing heavy!

Thats all i can think of right now. I will add more when i think of them. I just wanted to get this thread started. Feel free to add your own tips and tricks too.

Happy photo-making-taking-fun-having-times!

It was pointed out to me that this posting may seem critical of the photos or people already here on lit. I just want to make it known that was not my intention. I just wanted to lend out some advice for everyone and i learned the tips and tricks from my own experiences! Plus, the biggest thing you can do to get a good photo is convey some form of emotion, and i know we all have that! All the best!

Query trolled hard and won. Only a pathetic man would put that much effort into trolling.

Shouldn't you be desperately begging to take women's pictures? That is why you made this thread, right? To sound like you knew what you were doing, but now you flubbed up and are butt-hurt about it?

Nope not really. But thanks.

nice thread.

I had to check to see if I had inadvertently stumbled into the general board.

High dick to content ratio in the thread thus far. Kudos to not rising to the bait.

I'll take it though...

The only person who seemed butt-hurt was the asshole that was wounded he wasn't able to pick a fight.

HE offers some contrary (extremely BAD advice) and gets offended that you responded equably.

People like that need to get out, find a cheerful masochist, and have the balls to request a sadistic play session.

Hard to do when the basement curfew is so early I expect.

This advice is on the money.

The naysayer should had read more carefully... The OP hints that yes, people like you SHOULD shoot up...It makes small dicks look bigger.

Being a dick on a porn board doesn't make your dick look bigger.

I just thought this thread would be a good place to pool some info and tips in regards to photography.

I like the tip about natural sunlight. Yesterday, I got some childhood photos in the mail from one of my brothers. Rather than hassle with scanning, I simply used my cell phone to take a picture of the picture.

I tried indoors with overhead light, lot of glare or a shadow no matter where the camera and pic were in relation to the light source.

I opened a bathroom window because it had the best exposure to the sunlight nearly over the hill...it filtered through the screening and gave a very cool, bluish cast to the black and white 50+ year old picture of my mom.

Light source matters. There are lots of filters available that can convert pictures to appear like a different light source was in play but getting it right before filtering is better.

I and many others always appreciate tips on how to get the best pictures,
if someone is taking it badly, then they have their own issues. Let them be and don't worry.
Thank you for the advice.

Yep! Good call using your phone. Most modern smart phones have a higher resolution sensor then the low/medium end all in one printers. Window light always tends to be diffused which is always best! Unless you going to some sort of hard light. It all depends!

Query natural sunlight is great always

Thank you for the advice.

Glad you can find a use for the tips!

Im pretty good in terms of my knowledge of photography and light, i mean it is what i do for a living, so if anyone has any questions, feel free to ask. No questions is stupid! Ever!

Absolutely. So why is it that you feel the need to be one?

I know you are but what am I?

Maybe if we go back to our very first interaction and I eventually let you "win" again, you can tilt at the next windmill?

To recap:

drinkz gives the following photography advice:

I disagree. Sometimes that perspective can work out very well. Especially for women. Even those with "extra pounds" shouldn't be afraid to try shooting up.

The original poster responds agreeably, not taking the fight:

Perhaps. Guess you don't know until you get out and shoot!

drinkz continues to try to initiate a pointless argument:

That goes against the advice you gave earlier. Make up your mind.

The original poster brushes him off:

drinkz persists. Projects his own obvious "butt-hurt":

Shouldn't you be desperately begging to take women's pictures? That is why you made this thread, right? To sound like you knew what you were doing, but now you flubbed up and are butt-hurt about it?

Original poster WISELY realized that arguing was pointless...

Nope not really. But thanks.

...and that's when I made the "newbie's' acquaintance. He probably had less than a hundred posts at the time. My assumption was that he was one of those general board refugees that loses one too many fights of his own instigation and flees to a new ID. He seemed way to comfortable around the board for someone as new as he was. I now think he is a refugee from somewhere, just not necessarily Lit.

He, being such a highly skilled practitioner of the dark arts of the cyber warrior.

Sorry, afterwards I had second thoughts. I'm pretty sure he doesn't even remember why it is he has a hard-on for me...just that I am on "his list" to "get even with".

This was the thread I first called him out on as the bully he is. I just didn't want to continue the altercation on other threads.

You seem pretty mild mannered, and probably were as bewildered as most of the rest of his "opponents" since then have been. He engages in these little firestorms a couple times a day, and goes on a jihad if anyone dares contradict him.

It isn't uncommon for people already engaged in a petty squabble to result to things like nitpicking spelling and grammar.

This guy has such low self-awareness capabilities that he just cant appreciate the irony of making two grammatical errors in a statement chastising one error of someone else's...the whole beam in my eye making it hard to see the speck in your eye is a pretty astute observation of the human condition...we are all prone to that, else why would we have been admonished so?

Helps to remember this is all entertainment. Even the unintentional comedy.

SO....

On the subject at hand, photography tips...

I used to have eagle eyes but they are failing me. I have recently discovered my camera phones 8 megapixels even with poor quality optics is such good resolution that I can shoot a small object and use it as a magnifying glass, basically.

I got a small (dime?) coin in my change I had never seen...severely worn, not US...I WAS able to tell it was from panama, couldnt read the date...my flash is unreliable as to when it goes off versus the shutter speed so it takes multiple attempts to get the coin shot while flashed...I also thought it might help if I used a different light source coming from a different direction.

Got me wondering about micro photography tips and tricks and illumination when often you shadow the object from other light sources hovering over it with the camera>
