My photography interests in the past have been mainly outdoor landscapes and buildings and saltwater macro. I have a Nikon D3200, 18-55mm, 55-300mm and 40mm macro lens. I am looking for some advice doing indoor adult photography with my wife. Any tricks, tips, and advice on settings such as iso, aperture, lens, lights, etc would be greatly appreciated.

Shoot in manual mode, get your speed lite off the camera. There a couple of videos by a guy named Matt Granger on Youtube that can help get started with off the camera speed-lite photography.

For lighting -- the blog 'strobist' has several good tutorials (strobist. blog spot .com) -- lighting 101 is a good place to start.

With a digital camera, it is not as if you are going to go broke from film and development costs.

Take a lot of pictures.

For every pose, take at least three pictures; one auto, one over exposed, one under exposed. Vary shutter speed and aperture lighting and anything else that strikes your fancy. Try different filters if you can afford them -- or simulate them in editing software if you can't.

Learn everything you can about how aperture and shutter speed affect depth of field. That's going to be a big difference between indoor and outdoor photography. Artificial lighting will have a big effect as well; LED technology that lets you vary the color temperature of your lighting will be a big help in your experimenting.

In the end, only practice and seeing the results will tell you how to get the images and effects you want.

Play with the lighting, angles, don't make her move you get down bend down or go up higher to get that pic, play with your settings, I don't like flash inside it over exposes in my opinion, natural light is my fav, so have in mind the time of day, color contrast too and material using, that can mess up your photo so play with that, you don't need a big lens for indoor spaces only for detailed areas, app and shutter speed really don't matter if it's posed photos if she was like running yeah but not for still shots , and have her relaxed so she doesn't look tense in photos , look up some poses , even play with a mirror reflection. And black and white are totally sexy. You can always edit all that later tho. Good luck and have fun!

Make a shoot list. (Pinterest works great for this) Share it with her in advance.

Window light is wonderful. Look for shadows. Big windows give soft light. Straight on poses add weight. There are several Pintrest sites that give excellent examples of portraiture.

Changing the File Code

I have one but cannot figure how to change the filing sequence of my photos. They all start with DM001, DM002 etc. When I go on vacation I take around 2000 photos when I go overseas. When I go to down load, I run into matching numbers and it stops the down load. How do I change the code?

Irfanview has a batch rename function along with many other batch function. You can add a date or some other modifier to an entire directory of files on just a few seconds. (I'm sure there are other programs that can do batch renaming, but Irfanview is the one I have and use.)

Alternatively, move all of the files from your destination directory to a sub-directory before downloading from the camera.

You might also want to look into shooting RAW if you aren't already. With the proper editing software, you can get a lot more out of it than simply JPEG.
