Nice composition, and contrast. What shutter speed and f-stop did you use for this?

settings

gosh if it had been a lover of 10 years past I could give you the answer but just looking at the negative before scanning it; shutter speed had to be faster then 125 th of a second and I bet F stop was at least F8. Knowing what kind of film I liked using, plus-x, those combos would be in the ballpark.

ah yes indeed, I remember 4 x 5 cut film holders, lugging around a 20 pound tripod and a 4 x 5 camera in a case. Being out in the summer in Kansas, 95 to 100 degrees outside and this towel over my head while looking on the ground glass; and everything is upside down. For those of you whom are photographers pre digital, there is much to be said for the person whom had the picture in their head before it was even taken.

One of my best pictures I ever did was with my carry around 4 x 5, a old speed graphic. I shot the image from the window of a 54th floor suite of a outside concert in the center of town. A 30 x 40 inch print of it is framed and hanging in my home. It's so sharp you can almost count the hairs on the heads of people 54 stories below; now if I didn't have to used a 25 second exp. time, I could count the hairs'.
