Philadelphia-bound this weekend to give the local economy a shot in the arm. I've not had a cheesesteak since last summer, so I'm looking for a lay of the land during this time of COVID.

What should I expect? Is there dine-in or is it all take-out?

I hear that Eulogy is permanently closed (RIP). What does Old City look like these days? What about Monk's?

Any and all advice is appreciated!

Bump for the mid-day crew.

Despite the rain anticipated Saturday night into Sunday, I'm still planning to head down.

Unfortunately Monk’s has closed temporarily as of 2 days ago. Mama’s pizza in Bala Cynwood has some of the best cheesesteaks I’ve ever had.

Re Monk's, Gah!

My go-to cheesesteak place is Joe's in fishtown. I'll give Mama's a try if I'm out that way.

Thanks!

Angelo’s Pizzeria in S Philly is the place to go now for cheesesteaks (and pizza). Check out their menu online. Homemade rolls. Get there early, they’re usually sold out by 4:30/5.

I'm in Queen Village as I type this, so it's right around the corner. Thanks for the tip!

There was quite the line when I got there, so I passed. I'll have another opportunity in a few weeks.
