First off, let me just say that this is the first personal ad I've ever placed anywhere... so if I kinda ramble on or put too much in that's why. I figure better to let someone know what they're getting into before they waste several minutes of their life replying, right? 
Okay, where to begin? I'm a 27 year old male living in Philadelphia. Some three months ago now my girlfriend and I ended our 5 year relationship... but it's actually been pretty good in a bittersweet sort of way. We've been able to still spend time together and our friendship has gotten a chance to heal itself from the last year or so of bad times... I think we've both worked hard to make it work and are now able to say "well, we tried, let's move on." And she's done pretty well at it... she's currently dating my best friend, who has been in love with her for years. I'm really happy for them (they're really cute together), but at the same time I'm kinda feeling down because I feel like she's been lucky enough to hook up with a great guy right off the bat, whereas I'm stuck by myself for the first time since my college days, and looking out over the vast treacherous field that is the dating scene... <bleah>
I'm looking ahead some and realizing that, for a while, I'm not looking for any kind of serious romantic relationship, and that I've got a lot of work to do on the things that I maybe have neglected for myself in the past year or so. You know... focus on continuing my education, further developing my career, getting back into better shape, do some traveling, work on my art... that sort of stuff. Develop the "me" rather than the "us" for a while. But as much as I want to do all that, obviously there is that need for companionship. So essentially I'm looking for someone to email/PM with, maybe actually meet up with, fuck around (safely of course), whatever. Someone who isn't looking for anything much more than that.
Let me tell you a few things about myself: I'm a 27yr old white guy, short (5'6) and small of build (I've lost some weight over the last year, unfortunately, but I still have ok abs), but somewhere between "good-looking" and "cute" without nearly making it to "wow." I wear a goatee... I know some people don't like that but <shrug> goes with my face... and I'm half-Italian, so I'm a little on the hairy side without being RobinWilliams-like. I've got a nipple piercing (probably going to get the other one done soon) and I'm fairly well endowed. Physical traits aside, I'm fairly well-educated, professionally-employed, liberal-left leaning (and opinionated about it), quiet when I'm with strangers but chatty and friendly once I'm comfortable. I'm something left of straight... I've dated a few guys and hooked up with a few of them, but I generally prefer women... I'm pickier about appearances with men than I am with women for some reason, and I also find it easier to talk to women in general. I wouldn't say I'm very experienced sexually... I was a bit of a late bloomer, but I've made up for lost time, let's say. I've been with a good number of women and done a bunch of different stuff, a few guys (but it didn't go all that far), and once even a straight couple (I'm going to write a story about that one of these days). I've been told by people who I'm not sleeping with any more that I'm pretty damn good in bed.
Let me tell you a few things about who I'm looking for: I'm mostly looking for a woman, from say mid-30's on down... at this point in my life I'm going through a bit of an "immature selfish" stage, so maybe a younger woman is more compatible. As a small-statured guy I generally prefer smaller-statured women, but I'm flexible. Race is not a factor from my end. If you're a guy and reading this, well, if I were to hook up with a guy these days, I'd be looking for a younger guy -- probably someone without a lot of experience with guys, like myself.
