For some days now I've ben checking the Halloween list to see if my story got posted. I finished it & sent it in a hurry, as I thought that it might not make the cut off. But now having read it on the List I get the feeling that it could have done with a bit more attention. there is a story on the Halloeen list that says something like "The Devil is in the details". This is true in the case of my story, I have picked up a few glaring errors. Sorry to all those who took time to read my submission I'll do better next time.:(

Way cool Lit. name, Gol, if you will. Welcome, and thanks for the apology. We all have errors that glare once we hit submit, you're in good company. Well, good is relative, eh?

regards, Perdita

I've occasionally wondered if my biggest error was "hitting" the submit button....

Welcome Golgotha and as the others say don't let it worry you, only a couple of the people on here are perfect, the rest of us are human, aren't we Purdy darling:heart: :rose:

pops...........:D

Hi Perdita

Thankyou

It just means that I will be more of a stickler for detail next time.
This writing experience has given me a lot more respect for the craft. Being a visually minded artist I am still amazed at how the authors on Literotica can make words so goddam sexy and characters so real. It is an inspiration to read your works, and this forum is an ideal venue for learning more from the people behing the stories. I appreciate the commiseration and advice I have received thus far.

I am writing a Gothic themed 'first-time' Lesbian story, which is a lot longer than my Halloween tale. I am hoping to make it the beginning of a dark erotic journey into the subculture I live in, but I will not post until I have the first story totally complete and a cherry completely taken. ;)

Love is the Law, Love under Will.

There is nothing known in the heavens or on earth that spotlights a typo faster than clicking on the submit tab. Sweat it not. Those errors will just give the rest of us something to make fun of you with.

We all typo, some, like myself, have raised it to an art form ;)

Spell check, grammar check, proof read, re-read, send it to freinds to read, dosen't matter. I can't think of a single story I have posted where I didn't find an error about 1/14 of a second after I hit the submit button.

Editing

You can edit a posted story.

Make the changes, resubmit it with EDITED after the title and the revised version will replace the faulty one.

You get to keep the views and votes for the original.

Welcome Golgotha.

I wrote a Halloween story and submitted it. Then, after reading it several times, decided I didn't want it submitted after all, so I deleted it before it could be approved, lol.

So, even though I am hanging out here, I don't have a story posted yet, lol. I should have one posted soon though, getting some things in the story tweaked with the help of an editor before submitting it.

It's amazing that no matter how many times we read the story ourselves, or how many other people read the story before its submitted, there always seems to be some sneaky little typo or small grammatical error that no one seems to catch.

Dear MG,

I wouldn't dare the wrath of those such as yourself by asking The Question. I've read around here enough that I already know The Answer.

 Is there any tough-minded individual in desperate need of cash,
whom we can hire to ask MathGirl "THE QUESTION?"

Unless you've got more money that Bill Gates, probably not. RF

Dear Quaz and Rumple,
It's okay. I'm over it. I just gave The Answer to Senor Alec Thompson. He was unimpressed.

Would it help if a Non-newbie, who already had stories posted before ever finding the AH, were to ask the question? Just on general principals, of course, to make up for not having had the temerity to ask as a virgin?

If so, and if you would all promise get-well wishes, I could volunteer to pose the question and risk the wrath of Math, just in the interest of keeping harmony in the AH...

What's the concensus? Shall I ask?

Willing to live on the edge,

Sailor, it's not a matter of living on the edge so much as it is dying by the sword.

You're obviously a human-type carbon based life form with an overabundance of bravery but severely deminished mental capacity. Fortunately, only the second half of that applies to me. Anyway, I don't seem to have any IOU's with your name on them, so go ahead. No guts, no glory. While you're at it, you might as well experience the special thrill that follows calling our gentle Svenskaflicka, "Sven."

And Sailor, it's been real nice knowing you.

Not me, I have seen that THAT would be far, far worse than asking "The Question."

However, I am going to hold back, and reserve my use of the question in question for another time, when dire need arises.

Sometime, Math will be desperate, suffering from the terrible symptoms of withdrawl from the lack of having the chance to answer in her inimitable style.

I have decided that this occurence is not needed, as she so graciously provided the answer to Alec, thus relieving me of the need to risk the wrath.

So thanks, but I'll hang around a bit.

Sensibly,

Sailor
