This question has come hair trigger like to me, from another thread, about eating pussy during menstruation. But rather than continue that thread, ive started another.

A poster in the previous thread, made mention of how just before her period, he gets horny as hell.

Id love to hear a discussion about this.
Are you aware of certain times of her monthly cycle, where your libido increases?
Or decreases?
Any other observations? Thoughts?

I have always felt that our sex life, improved around the week before my period, because i was horny, I had never given a thought to what that did to him.
At that point, my progesterone levels would be pretty high. Does that mean that id be putting out the 'come fuck me' pheremone?

Just wunderin

i dont know if its pheremones or not, but in the begining of my period i often hurt to much to care, but in the middle/end i get really horny.

The week before my period I'm an animal. During my period I'm pretty avid.

Another trigger, time in the sun just makes me so horny.

My poor husband. He is getting quite a work out in so many ways this week.

*chuckles*

As the guy what made that statement, yes. During the week before, I'm as randy as I can be. Right when it hits, I'm ready to pop. It tapers a bit towards the middle of her menstruation, then picks ups again as it ends.

The odd part is that I don't have to be near my woman to get that rush when she starts her period. It's like my body has a timer. "w" did not live with me, but I would get a random massive bursts of lust and desire for her. I'd contact her to share said feelings and find out that she'd just started her period (which meant there was nothing I could do about said desire, as she did not do a thing during menstruation).

I also get cranky and edgy during the week prior. Not a good thing when she is likewise cranky and edgy. I used to think that it was just an emotional response to the treatment I received, but then I realised that I would start the grumpiness as often, or more often than she does.

I am always horny before, during, and after my menstrual cycle. ;)

I admit I peak the week before my period is due. I'm on the pill so I always know to the day when it'll arrive. I find my orgasms are stronger at that time too.

I think I read once that 'come fuck me' pheromones are thrown out in the 7-10 days before a woman menstruates because it's her last chance to get pregnant during that cycle. Also if women were mere animals and not given to long term relationships they'd probably bed as many men as possible during that time like other female species do.

Of course I reserve the right to be wrong.

I am horniest post period. Most sadistic during. Least want to be touched the week before.

(Beginning to think my child aversion is some kind of biological determinism)

I honestly don't remember. As the partner of someone who is enduring menopause, i just don't have the data to report accurately. My closest recollection is that I would pick up on cues to her changes in libido and respond to them with increased interest. As my own libido is relatively unchanged from day to day or week to week, I don't think there was much of a pheromone exchange going on.

Or maybe the levels of pheromones projected vary proportionally to the level of one's libido, in which case I'd have needed damned sensitive receptors to pick up on any variations.

Horniest...right in the beginning of my period..as well as about two weeks after it starts... The week before it's going to start my desires seem to wane a bit..or at least they used to.

i crave pain much more during my period. i always crave it, but during that time of the month, i'm insatiable.

Pandoravampire,
Although I'm now divorced I can tell you that my ex wife was her hottest during her period. I had problems with that at first then found that there was nothing to the emmision but blood and some sluffed tissue from her womb so we started using towels well folded underneath her ass and we fucked like wild animals during her period. She had extremely expolsive orgasms during those sessions that sometimes lasted for hours. Of course there were breaks to catch our breath and occasionally smoke a cigarette (a habit I finally broke thank goodness). I guess it really depends on the individual woman.
Oh and to that response about the last opportunity to get pregnant 7 to 10 days before the onset of a woman's period, well actually a woman can only get pregnant 3 days before and 3 days after she ovulates.
Some very interesting responses don't you think.
peace

A week or two before I am due to start my menses I am ready to fuck anything, lol. He loves to tease me about that. Its probably the only time when I ask for it. Sometimes even the pressure of my jeans is enough to drive me crazy. I'm insatiable then and almost anything goes. During my period I mostly wanted cuddles, and tenderness. Afterwords...I have little desire for anything closely orgasmic. I have noticed that after a particularly "rough" section of it, the extreme arousal, I lose interest in anything too kinky for a while.

Well to hopefully dispel any misconception there is a major difference between pheromones and hormones. In my clinical and humble opinion, it is the hormones we women experience a shift in mid menses which increase our libido. That is mother nature's way of ensuring survival of the species. For those who don't know it is usually mid menses that a woman is fertile and ready to become impregnated so an increase in her sex drive would indeed help ensure that this process occurs...and boy was mother nature pissed when birth control came about. But that's another kettle of fish entirely.

Now pheromones are sensory transmitters both men and women and emit to attract members of the opposite sex. They are received and categorized as either a good breeding choice or a poor one. Meaning some gene pools have more to offer than others and nature wanting everything to be perfect gives us subconscious but physical reactions to a good selection for breeding.

Oh and for all you women who haven't experienced menopause just wait and see what that does to your pheromone and hormone shift.

Thankyou Homburg. And thankyou for posting more here.
I would like to see some data on this.
Clearly, despite clinical views, and subjective anecdotes, there is much pondering. And no definitative answer. But certainly enough to spur me to go look.
