Phat vs Fat

I would generaly be turned off by a story about tremendoulsly overweight people, men more than women, but I'd rather read about a "plump" woman than a "slim" one.

I like to read (and write) about fit, attractive people. I think that most readers feel the same way. I do try to avoid the usual physical sterotypes.

Except big tits! I am fascinated by big tits and most of the guys I know feel very strongly the same way. Thus, a lot of my stories feature women with . . . Well, you have probably figured that out yourself.

I can say that reading about physically "perfect" people is a turn off for me. I want a believable fantasy. When all tits are canteloupes and all cocks are 9" or over, I get bored.

Rather than make the entire package perfect, I tend to focus on one remarkable attribute -- eyes, lips, ass, that incredible valley running the length of a woman's spine -- well, you get the idea.

It's much more realistic, IMO, to find someone with one or two exceptionally enticing features.

HTH,

I agree....but is FURTHER along the spectrum aslo a turn off?

Not at all. Your description was stirring. Give it a go! I'd love to read it.

If done with sincerity, rather than condescension, I believe it could be quite hot.

I don't think there is anything wrong with writing or being attractive to as you say "Average" people.

I truly believe that beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

Most times once you get past a beautiful/handsome face, if there personality sucks...you don't want to waste your time...

I am not turned off by cellulite on a woman I love...though I would PREFER there WASN'T any.

I'm fairly certain the woman would PREFER there WASN'T any as well. However, there's no need to dwell on (or even mention) that particular characteristic.

I've seen very heavy women who appear to have no trace of the dimpling, and very thin women who do. (I hear it has to do with the amount of water one consumes, she adds as she sips her 4th quart of the day.)

If the focus is on how the flesh FEELS/TASTES/SMELLS as opposed to how it is perceived to LOOK, it'll be hot.

Hmmm... I thought phat meant thick, like a phat bassline, phat drums or wide bottoms like phat pants (where the bell bottoms flare out more so than the 70's bellbottoms.)

I never thought of the term phat as being another euphemism for voluptuous. Intewesting.

I could never write a story with 'fit' people in it.. but who is going to define fit? (please don't!)
I myself am more than pleasantly plump, my husband is a big guy, though these days most of that is muscle (shocking!!! the longer we're together the hotter he gets :D).. and I am SO not turned on by thin guys. Have to have a bit of meat and muscle, makes me feel all protected and more feminine... same goes for girls, I find curves very feminine and attractive, can't handle skinny girls.
Now, with this said, don't go and be offended if you're thin (anyone who is reading this).. I didn't know you were into me in the first place. ;)
I think if you were to write a story with a woman fitting the physical description you mentioned, you would likely get some people posting and telling you they hated it, and some saying how much they loved it. That's just the nature of things.
I think I will always write stories with BBW in them, because that's what I am.
Nothing turns me on more than knowing that I am the most beautiful and sexiest woman in the world to my husband.. sounds like you would be writing from that viewpoint, and that would be awesome. :)

I'll chip in my two cents too.

I try to write about characters that are ordinary. Well not quite or it would not be interesting, but their physique is absolutely not glamorous, on purpose.

Since I'm over 40 (LOL) I have a tendency to write about older women. A streak of grey, breasts not completely firm anymore. The same goes for the guys. Broad shouldered yes please, I like that in real life too, a bit of a stomach? No problem.

I am a really weird person. I go for the mind. I can think he looks like shit, more or less and still get turned on by the way the intellect comes through. Sharp wit does it for me.

Maybe I should give it a try and write a story about a woman who is ample, rubenesque, voluptuous, plump. There are a lot of nice words to give it a positive ring. Can we ban the word 'fat'?
A man would be cuddly I think, and solid. Oh, I did create a sturdy fellow once, older too. LOL

:D

Joe,
sure, and why not? If that is your fantasy. I sometimes have thos efantasies as well. Just not exclusively.

I only have two kinds of fantasies... the super-fab, super-hot model... and the woman I love. So, when it comes to stories--unless they're about her and me; I like 'em about the hotness.

I think all of the women in my stories are closer to fat than thin. SOme are there in the middle, curvy but not excessively so but others are out and out voluptuous(like my good self :) )

I do tend to write characters that are like me, and I just can't get into a slim womans head. I am fat, big boned whatever but even with losing over 2 stone in weight recently I am still a European size 22 and very happy with my curves. (Also happy with my health now too-but this isn't a thread about that so i'll shut up)

I never go into deep deep detail about how big my character is, i give an idea, but I do not give overly much detail, I leave it to the person reading it to add in their own perception of how big the lady in qustion really is.

I enjoy reading about REAL people, so those of all shapes and sizes. reading about barbie type women puts me to sleep I want someone unique to read about.

I'm not so fussy with men. I love men full stop really. young, old, fat thin , medium, etc etc etc.

As long as the character is described well and seems real to me it doesn't matter what size they are.

I have a habit of writing about inhumanly good-looking people. However, I usually describe it from one person's point of view, and that person might not have the same opinion as everybody else. I mean, I like long hair on men, but some of my friends find it disgusting.

I like this thread, particularly as I am witty and have long hair. (did someone mention old[er] too?)

We love our loves, in different sizes
I love her body, especially the lies
time takes its toll but not on the eyes
promise me this, take me tonight.

The Beautiful South

I go for large sizes nearly every time. I love BBW sites.

I think a story about a large woman would be writeable and hot. I tend to write almost exclusively about older women who have 'lost' their figures.

My latest story (which I should be writing now instead of this) is about a very ordinary girl, with plain features who manages to radiate beauty, as long as you don't look at her for too long.

The story after that will quite possibly feature a woman of Rubenesque (or greater) proportions. (A fat witch for Hallowe'en?)

strange...terminolgy for weight and impressions and stigma.
heavy, fat, obsese, grotesquely obese, Husky, chunky, voluptuous, curvaceous, rubenesque, curvy, chubby, plump, PLEASINGLY plump, big boned, squishy, soft....
That did it!

Now you’ve gone and inspired me to expand my horizons.

I am plotting the adventure of my hero, the tragically handsome Bob “Fast Hands” Wappachic, and Stella “Big D” Dallas, his morbidly Rubenesque significant other.

I’ll write it all out, just as soon as I can get an ironclad contract from my publisher.

I must confess, it seems to me like a rather lame device to depend on the description of a character as stunningly gorgeous to make the story hotter, rather than one's writing and/or the situation. And since we can't see them that really doesn't help anyway.

You're better off saying something she's "a sexy redhead" than go into a detailed description of her physical attributes - they're not going to matter much, and if you do, the reader is likely to be just

I prefer ordinary people I can relate to... both writing and reading... I don't do overly descriptive narratives on my characters... and I prefer not to read half a page of vital statistics in other folks stories... super fit and perfect hourglass figure is out... cos most of those types I've met in real life are brain dead or have no personality, or both.

I could relate to and read a story containing a heavy character... as long as it were a real story, and the big person was part of and relevant to the story, not just a way of getting a big person on the books.

Unlike the lad however... I don't have long hair... but I am older than him... Oh and I prefer 36's to 44's... More than a handful is wasted.

I wll be completely honest here, even despite how un-authorly it may make me appear. I skim past descriptions, both vague and detailed. In fact, the more detailed they are, the less likelyhood of me reading them. I have to force myself to include them in my writing because I know so many others have a such great appreciation for them.

When I read something, particularly an erotic piece, I want to be able to create my own vision of the characters involved. If I focus on something as simple the authors description of hair color, it might effect me even finishing the story.

It doesn't much matter to me how the female is drawn out either, because shortly there-after she will be replaced by me in my imagination.:D
