I've got a new poem up, been there for a couple of days.

No views, 4 votes.

I emphasise the COUPLE of days its been up, shouldn't the views meter have ticked over by now?

Or am I being voted on by gremlins?

Some Ghouls get let out early for Halloween because of bad behavior.

Are they 1 voting your poems?

Well I'm glad it's not just me then. New poem, My Provocateur, 7 votes, 1 comment, no views? It's at 4.14 so they aren't one votes...it's a mystery.

I think I'm right in saying that votes update in real time, but views only when the server (or whatever) updates.

That's true, but the views should update every night 'round midnight (When Ahab gets on his camel named Clyde) and if it's been "a couple of days" and more than one author is noticing the problem, an e-mail to Manu (at webmaster@literotica.com ) is probably in order.

There have been some recent updates and testing going on for the multi-lingual versions of Lit. Perhaps they introduced a bug in the views update routine.

Thanks WH, I'll send an email off. Speaking of buggy, I'm not sure if it's just my browser but I've checked it in Explorer and Firefox--something strange has happened to the formatting of my public comments, there are gaps between random letters? Guess I'll mention that too in the email, just wondering if anyone else had this minor problem or could see it?

I can see it.

It looks like it might be a wordwrap problem in the text box for entering the comments -- The spaces appear most often at about the place that the shorter lines in the text box wrap around when typing.

Since every one of your comments exhibit the problem, it's probbly Lit that's doing it. (I don't think ALL of your fans are bad typists. ;))

Fans! He says I have fans! You're too sweet WH and yes of course my "fans" could only be extrordinarily good typists. The comments problem has only just appeared in the last few days so I'm thinking there is a bug somewhere too. I've sent an email off just now. Thanks again.:)

Indeed and thanks The Writer, I've been a bit perplexed about the votes and no views thing...would it be immodest to say I like my new poem and I had hoped that someone may have read it over the last few days? Anyway I'm sure if it can be fixed it will be soon. Night all. ;)
