Phantom Menace

Alot of people have said that he movie was a huge disappointment. But, for the 1st in a series, I thought it was quite good. What did you really think?

My personal feeling is the A New Hope was the best so far, everything has got a little less great since then. Empire better than Jedi, which was much better then Menace.

I felt that the characters lacked depth in their portrayal and int he story. And the story lacked the simplicity and innocence of the earlier ones.

I really think that if he hadn't cut so many of the more developed scenes that the film would have flowed better.

However, the movie served it's purpose. It covered every essential aspect to lead us to the next part of the story.
