Taking Covid-19 bullshit to a new level, the PGA forced Jon Rahm out of this week's Memorial Tournament because of a positive test result.
Rahm had just finished a spectacular round (a 63) Saturday and had a 6-stroke lead when he was advised by a tournament official of the positive. Keep in mind, Rahm got the news only a few feet from the 18th hole.
In other words, tournament officials were well aware of Rahm's positive test result well before he finished his round. But they let him play - and OMG, he wasn't even wearing a mask! - and risk infecting players in his group, caddies and the fans watching on each hole.
JON RAHM, SUPERSPREADER! Fans will start dropping dead at any moment.
Rahm managed, as noted, to shoot a 63, while clearly not being ill in any way.
So that tells you all you really need to know. It's all bullshit.
If this positive was a big deal, officials would have pulled Rahm off the course immediately. Instead, they let Rahm finish his second round early, then come back for the third.
