Wow. I checked the feedback that arrived in my email today. It seems that quite a few people are unhappy with me.

I was told that I am very descriptive, but I lacked completion of stories. I can understand that, I have a couple of stories that are waiting in the wings that will be posted soon. I pump out a story about every six months. I appologize if this dissapoints people, but that is all my busy schedule will allow me to get these done.

I was told that my stories if they are to be split into parts, they have to be Title: chap 1, chap 2 ect. or I will get a score of 1 no exceptions.
WELL FUCK YOU! OPEN YOUR EYES AND DO A LITTLE RESEARCH. MY ONE SERIES IS LUCKY DUCK AND LUCKY DUCK A DEUX. WHICH MEANS LUCKY DUCK PART TWO!!!! it's in alphabetical order. RATE THE STORY ON THE MERIT OF THE QUALITY OF THE MATERIAL YOU ARE READING, NOT THE TITLE. IF YOU CAN'T HANDLE IT, MOVE ONTO ANOTHER AUTHOR.

My appologies to people who had to read the above paragraph and it did not pertain to them. Thank you for the wonderful compliments and constructive criticism I did recieve. Yes, I will give it another read through before posting it.

Thank you to that special person who thought I was a gay feminist until he read my newest Contest Entry, Happy Anniversary.

Yea, I feel you.

One gender-bending story later and I'm labeled a lesbian (untrue) with a HUGE "lesbian agenda" (whatever that means ) and that I need to take my "political stories" elsewhere (Maybe I shouldn't have put Obama watching in the corner). I guess now a woman exploring a different side of her sexuality equals her "turning" into an automatic man-hating lesbian.

*sigh*

Some people just don't get it. Sorry for stealing your thread for my own selfish ranting purposes.

A rose for your anger? :rose:

I wrote a really nice story about a woman experimenting a bit with a master/servant relationship (though I didn't call it that anywhere, and it was under the surface, so to speak). She was on vacation, and with this guy.

I got feedback that said "He is going to murder her and leave her." Ever heard of fantasy, people!?

I sympathize with you.

Remember that a hefty proportion of the readers of Literotica couldn't make it through high school and are only reading your story because they can't find a real life person of the appropriate gender who is prepared to have sex with them. They're stupid, they're frustrated and they're angry, and they want to take it out on someone. For many of them, the someone they want to take it out on is female and appears vulnerable.

If you look at the first submissions of half the authors in Lit with apparently-female names, you'll find that in the comments, bile and venom far outweighs praise.

It isn't personal to you, it's just that a section of our audience would give chimpanzees a bad name.

what are bell hooks?

bell hooks is a very well know nonfiction writer--higher education, philiosophy, race issues.

She's best known in editorial circles as a "rule" footnote for not capitalizing her name. Have no idea what Stella meant by invoking "Bell Hooks" on this thread, but that "exception" footnote is the first thing that came into my mind on the mention.

Your choices are either to not care about scores, or pander to reader expectations.

Leaving a story on a cliff-hanger and then not posting the next part in 6 months is... inconsiderate to the reader. I noticed your stories are of fairly modest length, which is fine, but prone to leave the reader wanting more if they enjoy it.

I guess my suggestion would be not to post a story until all parts are ready, or almost ready. Or, close each chapter at a natural stopping point, leaving it open ended, but with resolution to the pressing drama.

Lmao

You must be doing something right if you pissed off a bunch of readers. I always take that as a good sign :D

It's pointless to leave negative comments on negative comments.

I once had comment posted on Chapter 5 of a story. The reader said all chapters should stand alone as complete stories and not require the reader to need information from the earlier chapters.

I remember thinking, you must still be wondering how Robinson Crusoe ended up on the island all by himself.

I honestly don't care about the scores, I just wanted honest feedback on the quality of the story. (which happens to be easily quantified by a numerical symbol.)

:eek:Hey Jenny nice to see you again! Hateful attention is better than no attention at all, I suppose.

*falls off couch*

OMG! So good to see you around here!
*sets Elianna back on the couch* nice to see you too. Love the wings. Is your halo a little off kilter?:D
