I had a major art show coming up and I had to have the perfect dress. Being that I'm always in the studio painting I didn't have any idea what to wear. I walked into Saks on 5th Avenue with no spending limit and absolutely no idea what I wanted or even what I'd look good in. I felt extremely out of place in my worn out jeans, cowboy boots, and white t-shirt. The few things I had that weren't covered with specks of color from my career choice. Thankfully I'd gotten an advance on some of my work to afford an appropriate dress. Now, I just needed some assistance. I walked over to an elegantly dressed young man and explained my situation. He directed me to the third floor offices where he told me I would be set up with a personal shopper. Personal shopper? I've never heard of such a thing. But, if it would help, I'd pay the extra cash.
