Per the forum rules, threads and posts publicly sharing personal contact information will no longer be allowed. We have long been removing email addresses and phone numbers. Sharing these publicly is very risky for a variety of reasons. Lit’s forums are public and we care about privacy and safety, especially considering the likelihood of sharing the contact information of another person (such as a revenge porn type scenario).

Skype, Kik, Snapchat and the like fall into this category as well. If you’re interested in connecting with people via one of these sites, the contact information needs to be shared via PM rather than directly to the forum.

The Forum Rules can be found here (and at the bottom of every single page): https://www.literotica.com/faq/forum/forum-rules

Please know that you are able to share contact information with other users via PM. Any personal contact information will be removed from public posts and threads with a lot of this content will be removed. The goal is to protect folks. Sharing one’s own contact information is a personal choice, but there are a number of circumstances where this can be unsafe and it’s not uncommon for people to share information that is not theirs. We do not want to chance this and as such will be enforcing the long-standing rule of not allowing personal contact info.

Our PM boxes don’t seem to have limits anymore, so fire them up. :)

It would be great if members wanted to start a new thread or few to replace the ones that I had to remove. It is OK to have a thread asking if people want to connect on Skype or Kik, just after you find someone in the thread, please share your specific contact information via private message.

How do I send a PM please

How do I send a PM please
If you click on a person’s username, you can then click on “start conversation” to send them a message. Alternatively, next to your little avatar circle near the top right of your screen, you can click on the envelope icon to start a conversation.

I'm still somewhat lost. I hate to sound like a dumb ass but what can I say. User interface ?
Yes, the user interface. The buttons and controls of the website. Spend some time looking around and fiddling with things. Are you trolling? Because the answer to your question is a few posts up in this same thread.

Quoted here:

If you click on someone's username and "start conversation" isn't there, it means they have turned off the ability to receive PMs.

Just trying to have people actually read my posts and not misinterpret that I’m looking to chat.
Sometimes, don't you really wish there was a feasible and practicable way to require people to sign an agreement to read before they write, before they can even look at a forum - on penalty of perma-banning?

That's another way that you know actual artificial intelligence doesn't exist yet. If it did, it would be capable of moderation with very little human oversight. But then there's the ethical quandary of exposing an artificially intelligent being to the sexual abuse of licentious trolls.:nana:
