Suppose that a couple gets married and the man likes anal, but the woman doesn't. They meet a couple who are in the opposite situation: the woman likes anal, but the man doesn't. At one point, the anal-hating spouses come up with the idea that their partners should get to fuck each other, but only in an anal sense. The other two are wary at first, but it turns out that the anal-hating spouses have lower libidoes anyway, so they don't feel mistreated. In fact, they consider it a relief not to have to satisfy their mates' every wish. It takes a while to persuade them, particularly the anal-loving woman, but they eventually go along with it. Just a thought.

That's an interesting idea. Are they allowed to have foreplay? Or is the only restriction no vaginal penetration? Do their partners watch?

Kind of a twist on the technical virginity concept. Like it isn't technically cheating if it doesn't involve vaginal sex.

This reminds me of a line in The Godfather (the book, that is; I don't recall if it made it into the movie). Sonny's wife hates having sex with him, because he's so thick. Eventually he acquires himself a mistress, and she says to a friend, "When I found out he was doing other women, I went to church and lit a candle!"

Don't think that line is in the movie, but it does bring a new perspective to a scene where she's talking to some female friends at her wedding, and is holding her hands apart at increasingly greater distances while the women laugh. That said, it's entirely possible she's just talking about Sonny's mistress, who is a bit plumper than his wife.

Well, the idea is that isn't cheating because the spouses are cool with it, but the fact that it's just anal helps...though I doubt that it will be confined to anal for long. It will progress, not that this is a bad thing.

The partners might watch, later. They might even join in at a later point. However, for starters, it's simply a convenient exception to their otherwise exclusive marriages, so that the pro-anal spouses aren't frustrated and don't pressure the anti-anal ones to have butt sex.
