This is a question about periods. You know, what most women go through once a month. I have never had them, of course, and all of my wives had finished with them before we got married, so I have no second hand experience either.

I am writing a fetish story about a man who has a thing for sex with a woman in her period, eating her pussy and fucking. I realize that, technically, a woman's period begins with ovulation and ends at the time of the next ovulation, about 28 days later, but I am referring to the more common use, the four days a month or so when a woman menstruates.

I know all the blood, etc. doesn't all gush out at once, but how does the flow go. I have heard about heavy days and light days, but when do they happen? Is the first day heavy, and everything after that just a few drops, or are all the days about equal?

I would appreciate enlightenment by somebody who knows more than I do (Which is every woman in the world and most men) :D

Sorry, Licker, but it's a little different for every woman. Mine starts with a gush (Maybe a teaspoon full) for a day, then tapers off to almost nothing after the 3rd day. But that's just me.

I have a friend who only has a period every two months (at least, that's what she told me). And I had a G/F once who ran a gush for 4 or 5 days then just stopped.

Like I said, it's an individual thing.

It's different for everyone, really.

First day is light for me. Almost a warning - here it comes, get ready!

Day two and three are heavy, miserable. Difficult to find the opportunity to take breaks from work to change supplies.

Day four is lighter, not as bad.

Day five is trace.

You could write whatever you wanted, really - it would fit some women.

As you really want to know and it's for a story, I'm going to get graphic here. So Warning to anyone who doesn't want to know:

Generally speaking--and as said, this is very general because every woman is different--it will start with a trace.

First day will be spotting. Blood on the pad (I'll use pads rather than a tampons here as you'll get a better idea of the flow) will be bright red. Light. Cramps usually start up. It might start to get heavy that night.

Pad wise, we're talking about starting with panty liners in the morning and moving right into overnight by evening.

Second day will be heavy and usually that's when a woman gets bad cramps. Understand that it's not just blood but, well, mucus, so it's thick and drippy, not like you'd get if you cut your finger. It doesn't flow continuously as it might if you had a wound. Think of honey dripping out of a jar. It's a dark red, and it isn't necessarily body temperature. The blood cools pretty quickly.

The third day won't be nearly so heavy (generally speaking). Blood will be thinner and less red. A woman might use a "regular" pad. By the fourth day it's back to light spotting and panty liners.

Keep in mind also that a woman's period changes with her age. Teens may have much heavier flows, but shorter periods, not lasting more than three days. While a woman who is nearing menopause can have longer periods--spotting lasting up to six days.

As has already been said - every woman is different - but just to add my experience to the list, here goes...

I'm different all the time, there is no rhyme or reason to my periods. They aren't even regular! Some months, i have a barely there spotting for a few days and then.. nothing. Other months, i get stomach cramps and then - whooshhh - an almighty gush of thick, clotty, dark red blood. When this happens it feels like half of my insides have fallen out and is not nice. This heavy bleeding can last a day or three, then either fade to lighter bleeding or just stop. It can be very annoying, as you think its stopped, then you're on again!! Oh the joy of being female.

Can't say i've ever met a man who's been too happy about sex during periods. Doesn't bother me at all (apart from the mess), but some men really do freak out when you tell them.

Hope that is of some use to you :)

Thanks for the info, ladies. I have enough for the story. The man has been nicknamed "The Vampire" but this is not a Halloween story. The woman, who is actually the protag, is 28 years old and has never had any children. Her periods are consistent and predictable, and not painful. In fact, she gets horny during them.

I should finish this and submit it when I get back in the US.

:D That's me!

My SO doesn't mind sex during my period, provided we have time to shower after. He's not a "vampire" though, so he introduced me to the wonderful world of saran wrap. :D

You know what works great for oral sex during your period (if your partner isn't a vampire)? Tampons. If you put a tampon in and push the string up inside you, the guy can't even tell the difference.

Ha! A fantasy piece. I really can't imagine this scenerio as I am usually in so much pain for a couple of days that I can barely manage. Guess I will have to leave it to your imagination.

Well, actually, the cycle begins with the first day of the period (3-6 days, on average). Ovulation is typically around cycle day 10-14, and the cycle ends with the day before the next period.

Just in case you need that for your story, or something. ;)

I find orgasms to be incredibly beneficial for period-related cramps, headaches, mood swings and general ickiness.

Good luck with the piece! :rose:

Yep me too!! A good cure for most things actually - certainly a proven cure for headaches. :D

You have confused me. Technically, ovation is in the middle of a cycle. 28 days is normal. ok help? My first day is a sputter of nothing but cramps - ache and pulse in my abdomen area, breasts sore - the second day is the heaviest for me. When I wake in the morning? I BETTER SURE AS FUCK run to the bathroom before it leaks beyond my pad or tampon. The third day can be heavy, it depends on the flow of the previous months. Blood looks different on all days and there are clots on the second and third days. I only get my period for five days, so after that? It sputters to a brown colour? Not sure if you wanted to know this, but trying to help. :)

Mine are generally very, very light and last for about 12 - 18 hours. Usually a couple of panty shields take care of things.

A teaspoon? OMG, you are so lucky! I can soak a pad right through on the second day.

For me, orgasms really hurt during my menstruation but I got really horny when I am ovulating.

Fucking hell Boxy, chose a good genre this time mate :D As a point of fact, my lady gets horny at period time as well, in fact I've known several girls/ladies who get the urge for a bonk during rag week.

No, you're absolutely right; ovulation is typically mid-cycle, and Day 1 of your period is Day 1 of your cycle. I say 'typically' because some women ovulate very early in their cycles, immediately following their periods, and others ovulate very late (i.e. they have a short luteal phase). I've ovulated on Cycle Day 6 or 7 before, but generally have 26 day cycles, with ovulation in the Day 12-15 window.

Cycles are fascinating. I knew nearly nothing about mine until we started considering the Fertility Awareness Method for birth control (and getting pregnant, eventually) last February. I didn't grow up in a hole, so I can't believe no one taught me about my body sooner.

Taking Charge of Your Fertility by Toni Weschler is a fantastic book for every woman, regardless of whether or not they're interested in FAM for contraception/conception.
