Perfect Happiness

If I had all of the below simultaneously I would be quite happy.

Not having to wake up in the morning and think about what bills have to get paid that day.

Being able to provide for my family without any reservations.

To have the time to assist my friends when they need help.

Donate to charities of my choice the items they require.

Being able to have a hearty laugh at least once a day.

Go for a long run without pain in my shins.

Spend quality time with the people I love as often as I desire.

Whatever household chore I am doing for it to be completed successfully in one hour.

Eat, drink and be merry on weekends.

Perfect balance, in everything. Never to be achieved; the wobble is built-in.

Since perfect balance, and therefore happiness, can never be achieved, would one be perfectly unhappy? I don't know. Secretly, I kind of enjoy the wobble.

I don't think there is such a thing

as perfect happiness. We are constantly changing and what makes us happy changes with us. I believe there are perfect moments. A perfect kiss a perfectly satisfying movie, a perfect cooked rib-eye steak on a grill... *s*

Isn't happiness equal to satisfied? If you felt loved and had purpose Countess, wouldn't there be something else you'd find to crave to feel a "need" or "void?"

I think we're wired that way so that we constantly push ourselves to grow and to experience things and people and events.... to evolve. Perfection over any length of time is unattainable, I believe.

I would never want anything I could call perfect. That means it has no room to grow and/or get better. Nothing to look forward to. :)

I agree with you TN Vixen, there are perfect moments in time or perfect times, but to say perfect happiness....dunno. Maybe it is even a stretch to say a Perfect Moment....but I believe in them.

Perfect Moment

That moment early in the morning when my gf wakes me up with a bj. When all I can think about is the delights of her lips and tounge, when all I can remeber is the juicy prime steak and smooth scotch wiskey I had the night before. Before the kids wake up and their noise reminds me I need to worry about the future. Before I remember that today is Friday and I have to go to work. Before I remember again that people actually want me to pay for the things I need, not to mention the things I want.

It seems perfect moments do exist, momentarily.

I think that was well put but I'm pretty dam happy with my life now.........................

Let's see if I can take this thought from my head and jot it down coherently, so that it makes sense.

Without unhappiness, there really can't be happiness...for without one, how would you define the other? If every one of us were blissfully happy all the time, would we know it? And if so, how would we know it?

My opinion...we wouldn't, because we'd have nothing to compare it to.

In a nutshell, happiness is directly relative to unhappiness.

Now my head hurts! I hope that made sense.

Yes you did... we cant all be happy but let us all be relatively so

Not possible yet we feeble minded humans can't quite accept that fact. Now moments of perfect happiness happen all the time but ya gotta watch for them with the greatest diligence cause they're what make life worth living.

Spoken well dear Cheri. I think I got cussed out of japanese today. Get off the phone and come get me!

Easy...

...waking up next to CD-able, looking into her waking eyes, telling her she's gorgeous, and seeing her smile.

So completely true.

I will however say that HAPPINESS (not perfect Happiness, just happiness) to me at this point, would to be to reach out and feel the man I love, to look him in the eyes and say "I Love You", to hug him, to feel his touch, take his smell in, look in his eyes and feel what he is feeling, watch him sleep, fall asleep with him, have him touch my heart in that special way.

I could go on but, I won't. Happiness to me would to be with Havoc. The one person that is truly my soulmate :)

Take Care, and stay happy :)

Perfect happiness? Hmmm, just grateful for small rays of sunshine I experience each day. Waking up in the morning and being able to roll out of bed with minimal pain. Watching the smile on my grandsons face when he learns something new, hearing his laughter. Being there for my friends when they need a shoulder to lean on.

Happiness is what you make out of it and I think I have achieved it. I don't know what more I could ask for. I have the most wonderful husband who caters to my every whim.
Two wonderful kids, a perfect marriage a total commitment to one another. Security in all we do so happiness yes I think we have achieved that in our lives.

Change is always good but enjoying what you have means more to you and the ones around you so as long as you keep dreaming happiness is always there.
