Perez: “The electoral college is not a creation of the Constitution”

Democratic National Committee chairman Tom Perez made a curious point in a Tuesday night speech when he declared “the Electoral College is not a creation of the Constitution.” Given the focus of the DNC chief on elections, the misunderstanding of the origin of the electoral college is a bit like a chief of police not knowing that warrants are required by the Fourth Amendment.

Communism is bad. Social Democracy is good. Look to Europe as your example. Like Canada, they don't have the problems that you in the US have. We are better off. Our democracies are focused on the people and not the rich and powerful.

It’s unrelated to transportation. It IS related to the need in our government to avoid the railroading of the flyover states by the big population centers. America isn’t ruled simply by NY and CA, the other 48 states have a say, as much as those self proclaimed reservations of sawfly worth may protest to the contrary.

‘Social Democracy’ is a really wonderful idea, so long as you’re receiving an endless handout from a more successful and more prosperous nation like the US to prop up your insatiable appetite for government largess, void of the associated fiscal responsibility and moral/political dysfunction borne of such depravities.

You're whining about the rich white slaveholders of the 13 colonies who were all thoroughly British and who had no flyover country. They were bounded to the west by France, the north by Britain and the south by Spain.
