I mean the separate magazine, not the Forum in the original Penthouse. I stopped reading it because it reached a point where it was all about "wife watching" -- watching one's woman with another man.

Just how did that particular fetish take over?!

Unless the profit motive at the Guccione empire went soft, I'd say "market demand." I know that they were my wife's and my favorite stories and we devoured the annual (was it the June) edition devoted exclusively to the topic. We were fortunate: It fit us. Unfortunately, it didn't fit you.

I feel the same way about manual transmissions, BTW. Whereas once a way to shave off a few hundred from a new car by getting the lowest trim, now it effectively costs waaaay more as it is almost only available on high-priced vehicles.

As far as all the doodads (heated seats, really?) go, I repeat what my dad always said: "One more thing to break or get damaged, so you pay for it twice."

Are you complaining about a kink? Here on Lit? WTF... Are you the prude police?

They published one of mine about my friends wife lol
Was it in the actual magazine or in the book ? Liked the magazine ones, but was less confident that the others in the books were actually letters.

So was the letter to your recollection cleaned up editorially when it was published ? And approximately what year was this.......

I'm complaining as a consumer, not a moral guardian. A single kink in which I had zero erotic interest somehow crowded out everything else.
What happened..... at least in my memory... was this. Once the ball was rolling and they realized there was a huge market for the books in adult bookstores.... they responded to requests or marketing feedback that they give people more of what they want..... and more and more.... all in the same publication or edition. So I recollect that the earlier ones were more like the magazines and had a variety of stories..... the later ones were more kink specific .... I remember seeing whole editions dedicated to group, or voyeur/ exhibition, or D/s perhaps. At the shop I went to there might be twenty of them...though clown sex was always more of a niche thing. So in later years, your interest might not show up at all in certain issues.

1985 and it was published unedited in the magazine

Yep...... those were some of the good years to be certain...... I wasn't buying them much then.....
