pending

just wanted to query something, the next part of a story that I submitted no longer shows the "pending" and shows "new" but that part of the story is still in the pending tab of works and not published.

not sure if a mistake or?

It’ll publish the next day after you see it change from pending to new. If you look at the date above it should show tomorrow’s date.
