Pending Stories

I know this topic as been brought up a few times, I have never gotten a clear answer. I submitted a 4 part story on 7/29. The first 2 parts were approved and released days later. The final 2 chapters have been stuck in pending limbo for going on 2 weeks. How long should I expect them to be trapped? Before you ask, yes I contacted laurel and was given the answer that it should be looked at and posted within 48-72 hours…

No answer here will trump what Laurel has already told you.

Times to publish vary depending upon several factors, which none of us here typically have any visibility to. Things like contests running are a known drag on stories submitted that are not part of the contest, but other than situations such as those, its anyone's guess.

You have your answer. None of us here have any influence, so now that you have made contact with the site owner and received a response, all you have left to do is wait for the gears to turn.

You have clearly read the forum advice, right? New authors' works are typically subjected to considerable manual scrutiny that extends the time pending. The 48-72 hours statement is boilerplate and I have to wonder if there's something in the 3rd chapter that was flagged for extra attention.

Doing the math here, you submitted exactly 14 days ago, waited "2 weeks," then messaged Laurel and got told it would be 48-72 hours

But

That's still 2-3 more days from now.

Have I got this right? You didn't even wait 1 day before asking us after hearing from Laurel that it would be 2-3 days?

I misspoke, I messaged her 4 days after the initial stories had posted asking when the other two were delayed. That was when I was told 48-72 hours.

I do not believe there is anything that should be flagged… it is similar to the previous chapters.
