last year there was a nationwide shortage of peeps due to covid. this year, i'm happy to report, they are back on store shelves.
does anyone ever actually EAT peeps? even as a sugar addicted pre-pubescent i thought they were just plain gross. we'd get them in our easter baskets every year. then, we'd pretend to be eating one and sneak into the bathroom and flush it down the toilet. or, we'd hide them somewhere, usually under furniture. when we'd later come across them again, they'd be hard as a brick and great for throwing at each other. but i don't think i ever met anyone who actually ate one.
