Isn't ironic how you may be surrounded yet be all alone?
How you look around and realize your friends are all gone?
Those who seek your company would tear asunder your pillar,
Seeking to build their own.
Standing atop the mountain, lording it for myself but longing to share the triumph and spoils.
Breast full with success, memories throbbing with toils.
The approaching storm clouding the sky, whipping my hair;
my nostrils charged with the ionized air.
Hands upon hips, I seek fortitude for I no longer know solitude.
Ignoring the surrounding calamity for I have sacrificed my humanity.
A fire of self loathing builds within my breast
For a world of ice is now all I know best.
