If you are on your own and looking for company (or keen to escape the hideous company of people you wish you had not agreed to spend Christmas with :D) feel free to come by my News and Views thread for a virtual glass of something, and a chat. I will be posting in there tomorrow in between roasting a chicken for Piglet and the cats, and enjoying slobbing on the sofa eating chocolate and watching rubbish films.

Everybody will be welcome.

Thank you, Duchess.
How do you know they Are 'rubbish films' (I've not looked yet).

Just me and my cat here: whisky for me, cat milk for him. All movies will be super-cheesy; the cat will be choosing them. I'll get my traditional run around the park beforehand. It's always interesting to see who's out on Christmas Day.

Keep it merry, y'all!

My ballerina daughter is done with being Sugar Plum and tutoring highschool girls and she's here for the holiday. Her sister will marry on the 1st, then she's back to dancing. It looks like a busy season for me. :)

Toasted bagels, cream cheese and smoked salmon with a nice chardonnay for breakfast tomorrow. Not a traditional meal but more comfort food.:)
Oh, and carols accompanied by ukulele.

Merry Christmas all!

Power is back after being absent all day under our Xmas Eve blizzard that keeps us from visiting the cousins 'cause we're, like, snowed in but at least we have power so we don't have to heat the house only with candles and water boiling on the propane stove (we don't burn wood here, too messy). Entertainment today: books and zither. And sex. Simple is nice.

EDIT: We roasted ham earlier. It was great.

Will be eating dinner at a relative's house tomorrow afternoon. I'm praying I don't put my foot in my mouth, that the dinner will go smoothly. Then I have a final editing stage I plan to do on a Lit story. :)

Wishing everyone a great day tomorrow!

Sorry if I’m jumping the gun, but I’m currently stranded on the other side of Greenwich. The atheist’s Christmas lunch was fabulous: surf and turf (filet mignon with marinated king prawns), with pommes allumette, and steamed asparagus. Oh, and excellent company. And then a nap. :)

To all of you who have yet to get to the 25th, may it be as good as mine has been.

Just done Christmas lunch, sent the kids off to other houses with their partners, so it's a quiet evening. Maybe a decent movie on cable. Hope so, anyway. It's always low key now that the kids are adults, but it's still several years away from grand-children. I'm not ready for that, not yet.

The Dragon thought he'd try and chase Santa last night.
He realised his mistake as he got too close to the sound barrier; he'll recover in a day or two.
