I like Charlie Rose and his style and his round table.

Regardless that he is a Liberal.

Tonight, with Billionaire Capitalist, Warren Buffet, they discussed many things, including Rupert Murdock(sp)? who made a recent takeover bid for the Wall Street Journal.

In the midst of all this sophisticated, high finance rhetoric, most of which I did not fully comprehend, they spoke of a 'menu' of investment or 'takeover' potentials and compared it to a 'girl walking down the street'.

They did a manly chuckle betwixt them and leered at each other with a knowing grin.

Interest, investment, long and short term, returns, benefits and deficits...makes one think that females are truly an encumbrance to the pursuit.

?

Amicus....

(ps) I know you probably could not draw yourself away from the Simpsons or Desperate Housewives, or whatever other trash you were watching, but maybe a few saw the program?)

"?" indeed.

I got your description of the scene, alright. Two old men discussing finances and economics and using a gendercentric (and pretty simplistic) metaphor. And finding it somewhat amusing.

But what you mean then with "Interest, investment, long and short term, returns, benefits and deficits...makes one think that females are truly an encumbrance to the pursuit" is anyone's guess. Encumberance to whom? The pursuit of what? An encumberance for old men clinging to old gendercentric values to the pursuit of taking the 21st century by the balls, to the extent that they cling to their old powerbase structures with whitening knuckles and increasingly comical results? Yeah. But somehow I guess that was not what you meant.

What DID you mean, ol' chap?
