South Dakota ER nurse says some COVID-19 patients insist the virus isn't real even as they’re dying from it, spending their final breaths 'filled with anger and hatred' rather than saying goodbye to their families

A South Dakota nurse who cares for COVID-19 patients says one of the hardest parts of her job is convincing a number of those who are critically ill that the deadly virus is actually real.

After sharing a thread of her experiences to Twitter over the weekend, nurse Jodi Doering appeared on CNN’s New Day on Monday to describe how many of her patients are still in denial about coronavirus, willing to believe almost anything else has made them sick.

‘I think the hardest thing to watch is that people are still looking for something else and they want a magic answer, and they don't want to believe that COVID is real,’ she told the network. ‘People want it to be influenza, they want it to be pneumonia, we’ve even had people say, “I think it could be lung cancer.”’

I still don't. In Melbourne we had six weeks of lockdown, with severe limits on our ability to leave home and how far we could go when we did. It was no fun, but it worked! Heaven only knows how many lives were saved. The same could have been done in America if not for decades of screaming that any consideration whatsoever for the common good = communism.

And once again we see when the American right screeches about "personal responsibility", they mean "No, not for me, for those nig...I mean welfare mothers!"

No, she said the virus was "under control" and they were "doing excellent" at the very moment cases and deaths were spiking. Also, not just refusing a mask mandate but telling her citizens that masks "don't help." That in no way is a "complete acknowledgment of COVID."
