I'm a self-opinionated prat who thinks he could write.

The problem is that I'm not confident about it!

I want jam on it: namely an editor who'll be gentle with a beginner, but inspire confidence so that I can accept (then ignore) correction and general constructive criticism...

OK, rhetoric aside, I want to write. For some 4 decades I've thought that I could do it if I could only think of a plot.

Quite recently, I realised that I've been generating plots on something like every other evening before going to sleep (your imagination will surely be able to provide the exact context), so maybe, if nothing else, I might be able to write erotica.

So I polished up a story I wrote a while ago and submitted it to Lit (http://www.literotica.com/stories/showstory.php?id=101427). By now, nearly 18,000 people have read it. Of those, 43 have voted, giving an average score of 4.47. One person sent anonymous feedback (favourable).

That tells me something, but not enough either to satisfy my ego, nor to tell me how to improve.

What I crave is a credible, experienced editor (or more than one) who has (have) the patience to cope with my ego, and to suggest improvements to my style; to help me improve or to tell me gently that I should follow another star.

I'm currently 5 chapters (some 15,000 words) through what seems to me an epic of 6 chapters.

I like it - but then, if I didn't I wouldn't have written it!

If you are the sort of super-human who would be interested in being my mentor (over more than just this one tale), I really would be over the moon to hear from you.

Responses via PM, here, or by email me will all receive at least an aknowledgment.

Respect,

f5
