Pathfinder: Kingmaker Recruitment

I should also add that, for post lengths, sex scene lengths are between you and your partner(s). If I'm involved with an NPC/NPCs, I'll keep to whatever you do.

I forgot to ask, will you be using the traditional dice rolls to determine the outcome of an event? And if so, how do you plan to do it?

Oh man, I just read about the Gunslinger class.

I know that Ranger is a more well-rounded and probably more useful class, but Gunslinger sounds fun, haha.

I'm an experienced Pathfinder player from the Organized Play Pathfinder Society campaigns. I'd be most interested in playing a fighter or a wizard, but, like HotKittyGirl, I can hold off until we see what the party composition is.

Have you specified details on character building such as how many points to spend? If so, I must have missed it.

Great to have you on board, tcost. Here's the character creation stuff, since you missed it:

Character Creation

Your characters will start at first level. Take 20 point buy and maximum gold for your starting class. Any Paizo-published classes are kosher. For race, run anything exotic by me before you go ahead with it.

Requirements

What I'd like from everyone is:

1. A character sheet. You can host it on a website like myth-weavers or DnDsheets for free.
2. A backstory. Please read the Kingmaker Player's Guide for assistance with this. But the short version is that your character must have a compelling reason for wanting to explore the Stolen Lands.
3. An appearance section. This should be at bare minimum a long paragraph, but more is (generally) better.
4. A personality section. Same deal as the appearance: a long paragraph is the minimum. When thinking about your character's personality, make sure that it manages to be interesting and unique. Especially make sure that your character has potential for the less PG aspects of the campaign, but also that the character is rounded enough to be interesting during the less/non-sexual parts of the game.

Also, for everyone:

It's great that a lot of people have flexibility with their characters, but someone needs to take the plunge and pick something, or else nothing gets done because everyone is waiting for other people to make their characters first.

So, let's have everyone who's put multiple concepts on the table pick a favourite (or two, if you're really undecided). Then we can work from there and see how balanced our party is right off the bat.

Okay! Unless we get a glut of spellcasters, I'll go with a wizard.

Hmmm, I guess I'll put a cleric/oracle first, but I'm still happy to switch.

If you have room for one more I would very much like to get involved. I am experienced with pathfinder and will read up on kingmaker.

If you need me I will post a character concept later tonight

Suprgrd: I'm certainly welcoming more people. I figure that going bigger is better, since people may need to drop out unexpectedly.

If we get more than eight people, though, I may make the process competitive, though.

Save me a seat, I think I have a charachter that should work for this. I assume we're starting at level one since we have a lot of people who aren't particularly familar with the game?

I would like to try out the inquisitor. If party comp doesn't work out I am also interested in the witch and alchemist although I realize those are all very similar.

As for Race I am not picky so I am happy to play something other people thing is fun.

First and foremost, create a character that you want to play. That includes class and race, but also (more importantly) personality.

For everyone who hasn't seen it yet, I've edited the character creation info into the first post of the thread.

Pay special attention in your reading of it to the fact that I want to see characters who have potential for the erotic aspects of the campaign, but who go beyond that to be interesting in their own right. Which is to say they shouldn't act and be motivated solely by sex, since there'll be lots of other things to do.

My character will be female.

Also, hey ApatheticAbacus, I'm working away on my character, but I don't think cleric fits her perfectly, since it's too warrior-y. With your permission, I'd like to use the Priest 3rd party class. Is that alright, or should I figure out some other way of making it work?

Knowing the gender break-down would also be good. So, right now, what I'd like from everyone interested in playing is:

1. Character concept: Class definitely, preferably race, and also a little bit of personality and/or backstory.

Character gender: this is so we can see whether we've got the right breakdown for our adventuring orgy– er, party.

Naliria, I'd prefer if you stuck to Paizo stuff. PM me if you absolutely can't do it.

I think for character concept, I'll take that human rogue idea I mention. A male, light on his feet and with a quick wit. He's a bit of a gentleman thief and a con artist, but his roving eye has got him in more trouble than anything else. Being a gentleman, of course, he's eager to rise to a higher station, so exploring the Stolen Lands gives him the opportunity to do just that. Well, that and examine the local ladies...

If Naliria's looking for a character with a spiritual bent, but not necessarily a holy warrior like a cleric or paladin, perhaps the Oracle could work?

Suprgrd: HP will be maximum for first level. I'd actually just taken that for granted, so thanks for pointing it out!

NotShyGuy: We'll be using the emerging firearms rarity, so you won't have too many issues. I'll make sure that you don't lack for gear if you play a gunslinger.

Deevo: Thanks for the concept. Sounds good!

I used that fancy D&D sheets program to make my dude how do I share him with you?

Cool, I'll see about making do with cleric or maybe using oracle as was suggested :)
