Has anyone else ever heard from or had any experience with this organization?

I received an e-mail from them a few days ago asking if I was interested in contributing to their pay website and wanted to know if any other writers have received similar correspondences. They sent me a link to one of their sites and it seems pretty legit and all but I am a skeptic by nature.

Also, while I am flattered to be offered compensation for something I love doing as a hobby, I have very mixed feelings about this and am seeking the input of you, the good people at Literotica.

Has anyone else had a similar experience?

What do you guys think?

You know, I just wanted to share that this experience has made me really think about why I started writing at Lite. While I still do not have an exact answer, I know it lies somewhere between the idea that I write for me – to pass some time on my long nights off, to explore fantasies I can not in real life – and for people like myself who come to Lite to relax and enjoy some quality hot stories (not because I am smug and think I am a great writer, but because I have ideas I think some people might like).

I actually do not consider myself a writer per say; I am a nurse (what I get paid to do) who likes to pen dirty stories when I am not being paid. To write for a fee makes it seem like work and I imagine (for me at least) that that would take all the fun out of it. As I said in my response to the people at that website, “The feedback and friendship I have with the folks I have met at Literotica.com is all the compensation I require.”

That is just my follow up to the above post. I know it did not receive any replies but it did get some hits so I thought I would conclude it.

Don't you just love this 'Nana' guy?????:nana:

Hi,

I do not know of the website you spoke of, but if someone has offered you compensation for one of your stories, why not take it? If it for a story you have already written, and you retain your rights to it (even after a certain amount of time), I say you should accept and pat yourself on the back.

If they want you to write new stories for them, and in a time perioid, then yes, sometimes it does seem like more work then fun, but if you can do it, maybe you should still try.

You can write for them AND write for fun here.

Call me an altruist if you want, but why should I accept money for a story to have it posted where people have to pay to read it when they can come here and read it for free.

To me, that is just plain wrong.

Lovin' this Nana!!!!:nana:

Maybe I misunderstood....they are willing to pay you for a story you have already posted on a free site?? Most sites I know do not do this. I was under the impression that it would be a "new" story - either featured there first, or them retaining a time period rights to your story.

And just my thoughts on this, both "free" sites and "pay" sites have a place. I also post stories on different free sites, including my own, but I also write for some sites for compensation (these stories/articles are different from the ones I post for free).

Some write for compensation, some write for pure enjoyment...I believe in writing for both.
