We've now replaced our butler, Ed - thank you Blase!!!

Ed, the butler - currently in never-never land, soon to be brought back in by the gracious Blase.

Demi, myself: new owner of inherited resort - currently in the owner's penthouse and dressing for the night's introduction to the staff and guests.
Beth, Pywakit: Demi's best friend and newly elected partner - currently in the owner's penthouse, assumedly starting to ready for the intro as well.

Liam, dragonrazor: the pool boy - has just left the owner's penthouse.

Mac, gladiator: general handyman - currently in the kitchen, helping Liz
Liz, (previously played by TearsoftheWorld) NEEDS REPLACEMENT PLAYER: head chef - in the kitchen, working on the big party dinner with Mac's help

Mara, LittleSprite: kitchen help/waitress - doing a last check of the dining area before it "picks up" again.
Ian, camas: guest - currently having just finished his lunch in the dining area, he's leaving assumedly heading to his own room.

Jamie, decatur: guest - just left the receptionist's desk and is headed to her own room. Left an open invite for receptionist....
Lisa, cmondei: receptionist - has just welcomed Jamie to the resort

So that is where we sit right now. Did I forget anyone? Do I have anyone in the wrong place?

You can see we need a few females - we definately need a head housekeeper! I think 2-4 female guests and one more male guest and we should be fully staffed. (Guests OR local townsfolk - either will work for the purposes!)

Please post here so I know all playing are still interested. We had one or two post in the beginning who haven't posted since - as far as I'm concerned they're welcome, but didnt' include them here as we don't have current info on them.

THE PLAN:

I'm hoping that we can all congregate together in the big meeting/party in the dining area. I'm thinking we might all get in a bit of flirting and light play while we gain a couple more members.... We're just about paired up, all except Ed the butler and Liam the pool boy.
I know Camas' character has just finished with his lunch... maybe Mara's shift is about over and they can play?
Blase will be taking over Ed the butler as our other player has elected not to return to posting nor answer my PMs. He has a couple days of busy-ness but will be posting soon!
Hopefully we can aquire a female head housekeeper, and at least one more female guest. One of those two should be able to hook up quickly with Liam the pool boy for some flirting and light play.

Once roles are filled and we do our little introduction thing, we can get to some real role playing.... This thread has so much potential, but key roles having not been filled, or filled and then abandoned, has slowed the thread dramatically. Invite your friends!! This is an attempt to revive and save the thread, because I think once the roles are filled decently it will do well.

Do you need a male guest or a chef .... I can do either. I'm a fustrated wantabe chef and have done a litle cooking. Or I can be the older Widower with a little extra cash. Let me know which and I work a profile for the character.

Well, Ed is back!

Thank you very much, Dolly, for inviting me to come and play.

I've been looking at the IC and OOC threads in order to ascertain just who is coming to the party. Dolly's list, above, looks accurate except that it appears that Camas (as Ian) has not posted for nearly two weeks.

So, it looks like we have four girls (Demi, Beth, Mara and Lisa) and three guys (Liam, Mac and Ed) who can be counted on for the party. I can work with that for this occasion, although Dolly is quite correct that the thread overall could use some new players.

By the way, I hope everyone who comes will be ready for a good time. When I plan the party, things tend to get...interesting.

My head chef just quit, so if you want that role you're more than welcome to it! Either of these would be great! Go ahead and work up a profile - if you pick the chef try to pick it up where the previous chef has left it though to make the story flow smoothly. (Played previously by TearsoftheWorld.) Chef will be working on the big party dinner! Any guest would probably be settling in, or roaming the hallways, etc.... Or an affluent old widower might be a good townsfolk as well.

The point of the meeting/dinner/party is to get everyone on the same page, at the same time - the way the thread started with everyone doing different things is fine if you have a lot of people join. Unfortunately, this one did not, and because of that I feel that it would benefit from a central meeting point type setting.... Kind of a starting over thing, and making our way there should give us a bit of time to gather another fe or two for the thread. Yes?

I would be inclined to Invite MacMillian in as a guest, just encase tears decides to come back, she never said she was retiring from RPing just said to bear with her on her absence. So I personally feel loathed to edit her completely out right away.

I agree, it'd be nice to keep that female role... but it is essential to the thread. I guess I should PM her myself to find out how her absence will affect this thread specifically.... If she's not around to RP the role, then it's no use of it being female. LOL

And it wouldn't hurt to have two head chefs. We can always leave one of them as the "guest chef" and the other as the "staff chef" or as Demi's/Beth's personal cooks, etc.... Or MacMillan might be just as happy with an asst. chef role?

I've PMd Tears and she's confirmed that she'll be away from here for an undetermined amount of time, and requests that if the role is key that we replace her.
At the same time, it doesn't make sense to COMPLETELY replace her, since she's F and camas is M. LOL

So Camas, if you will, you're welcome to take on a chef role - but do go ahead and make up your own bio. We'll leave Tears' role open (Liz the head chef) should she decide to return... but allow Camas to take over the "main" chef role. You can enter as an assistant chef, or whatever - you can write the Liz character into extreme business so she's got somewhere to come back to if she chooses, but please don't write her completely out of the story. I was going to let you just take over the character, but it won't make sense with the f/m change.... LOL
