Party Food Suggestions, Please Help!

This is for a six-year-old's pool party on Sunday.

We have the typical:
Nachos - cheese cubes - strawberries and powdered sugar to dip - peanut butter and crackers -

Does anyone have any other ideas? Anything you've seen or prepared yourself that works really well with younger kids? (I've done a couple searches and haven't hit on any magic suggestions.)

Apparently we're going to have 25 kids at this thing. After two hours of swimming this army is going to be pretty hungry.

Thank you! :)

(And - pray for us - LOL!)

I like cookie cutter sandwiches. You take your basics, pb and j, ham and cheese, etc. . .make the sandwiches, then uses cute cookie cutters to make the sanwiches into different shapes. It can be a bit wasteful, but super cute and the kids always seem to like eating their favorite shapes.

Cheese pizza, minimal sauce

PBJs cut into quarters, light on the jelly

Twizzlers

If you do a cake, you might look at Ice Cream cakes from DQ.

Pizza is always a winner.

What really works for us in the icecream/cake department is mini icecream sandwiches (no scooping- the kids here always leave gobs of melting icecream on their plates- that's why the minis) and cupcakes (again, no cutting easy serve). Put a candy letter on every cupcake and everyone's happy:)

Pizza pockets might be good too. in adition or instead of pizza.

Don't know about yours, but our local Sam's Club has whacking great bags of various finger foods for good prices. Chicken nuggets seem to be a favoured delicacy in that particular social circle.

Thanks, everyone!

Terrific suggestions - sounds like Pizza is a real winner.

I also love the idea of mini ice cream sandwiches - thank you all!

Pick a theme and make a tablescape of snacks, veggies, etc...toys added make it fun.....dinosaurs are good.

Wrap those little cocktail weenies in a piece of cresent roll and cook and eat.

Or, spread softened cream cheese onto flour tortillas, sprinkle with a light layer of finely chopped jalepenos. Roll up, chill for awhile and then cut into small bite size pieces.

We have them at every party and they are a huge hit with kids and grown-ups. :)
