"The Castaways", a story about an upscale development in mexico, on the gulf coast, is a thread writers dream. 160 houses, condos and a 30 room hotel are the setting for a cast of permenent and transient caractures, literally 100's or 1000's, who knows!! suggest focusing on those wholive full time, couples, women, men, straight , gay, and employees of the facility, bartenders, waiters, administraters, etc.. this is an ex=patriate community, with forign nationals from all countrys,so the skies the limit for fleshing out the flesh, so to speak. This place is a monied, up scale, remote development, with onlya small village nearby, to house the local employees, who are latino, primerily, with a smattering of orientals, mostly in the bar service areas, controled by the head oriental, a chinese man named sha-shu.
Chas Morley, a 32 yr old brit with a obscenely good looking smile, to well quaffed to have ever done anything of stubstance, is the owner of no 147, a lovely house overlooking the 3rd hole of the golf course, a stones throw from the main bar and dining facility.
His physical presence, and a subtle, but definate sense of power
grace, and and a vague, shadowy resume, bely the low key playboy personna he effects. But then again, everyone there has some past, why else live in so isolated a place?? don't ask , don't tell, is the way to be if your a member of the "castaways"
