OOC: How about a sappy-sweet dime store romance? Here on Paradise Island, lonely people meet, princes sweep princesses off their feet, honeymooners honeymoon. Use your imagaination......and your best vocabulary. No vulgarity please, as our lovers explore each other with sensuous pleasure. Just join in, on this tropical island, where all rooms have an ocean facing balcony and the breeze is never strong enough to tangle the longest hair.
Lynn kicked at the sand with her toe. The ocean breeze cooled her skin as she walked along the beach. She smiled. This was the first time in over a year that she had felt truely relaxed.
She thought about her mother, about her final words, "Lynn, my baby, don't be sad. I'm not. I am going to be with your father now." Then she closed her eyes and it was over. At 22, Lynn had taken a break from law school to take care of her dying mother. The doctors had told them she only had a month to live. A full year later, Lynn no longer desired to go back to the competivetive world of law. She needed a break. A friend had told her of Paradise Island, so she had booked a room- indefinately. She had been here a month now, and no longer woke crying each morning.
This morning in particular seemed to mark a turning point for her. The sun seemed brighter, the ocean bluer. She smiled as she passed a couple laying on the beach, holding hands. Lynn ran her hand through her waist length brown hair, pushing it out of her face, and took a deep breath. Yes, something about today was different. She could just feel it. She looked down and saw a sand dollar. She picked it up and put it in the pocket of her pink sundress and headed back to the hotel.
As she entered the Paradise Inn, smells of coffee and bacon reached her. She did not normally eat breakfast, but today, the smells were so inviting. She walked to the outdoor terrace and sat at a table by the rail. She sat there, watching the waves crash onto the rocks below as she waited for a server.
