So a friend has asked me to start back up the group thread PANDORUM. The more I thought about it the more I wanted to do it. The last time I started the thread I had to abandon it for real life issues. That shouldn't be a problem and I hope you all will join me in the 2nd ed. of it. I'm looking to start off with at least 2 males and 2 females. The story can get as big as needed though I do want to cap it at 6 or 8 people.

Rules:
~Please post at least ONCE (1) a week.
~No one liners. Must be at LEAST 3 paragraphs (pressing enter does not count as a paragraph).
~No posting as other people ex. making them cower from you glare. they might not feel the need to cower, but to stand up to your character
~Recently I started seeing people who were perfect, which is odd, since none of us are. Have flaws please. It'll make the big bad scary thread a lot more interesting.

Plot:
Pandorum is the name of the ship (I know in the movie it was the name of the psychosis, but I'm changing it). Everyone on board is the last of humanity. Earth went KA-BOOM! Everyone on board has been in cryo for over 1,000 years. Some people woke up before others. Some people are just waking up. Some people know that the ship isn't safe anymore. Some people know that their are 'aliens' who take women and men and do horrible things to them. Which are you? The one who just woke up confused, disoriented, looking for others? Or are you the one who woken up days, weeks, months, years earlier and know to stay in the shadows, keep quiet, and no sudden movements.

A little more you say:
Okay so the monsters/aliens (etc). are these beings that have evolved over the years living on the ship. They eat human flesh. They kill. They rape. And they're stronger than you. Yes. Not only are their nails as strong as metal, but their strength can easily punch a man through a metal door (metal not wooden people). Because of their strong nails they are able to run along the walls or hang upside down. The best course of action with these things is to run and run very fast. Trap them out and find a good hidey hole. They aren't the brightest, but noise attracts them.

Well, it seems like the baddies have all the fun. How can you survive? Easy. Light. The ship is mostly dark or dismal. Very few lights. A flashlight can blind them or stun them. You'll have to find your own flashlight, batteries, or in the worst case fire to ward them off. (who knew you'll end up loving that damn smoker with the 50 lighters) They'll run away, but they might stalk you and come back later. Besides fire often brings them a hot meal.

I will be playing as the monsters/aliens (let's call them the Others). It'll be easier for me to set up traps and stalk people this way. The 'Survivors' goal is to get to safety: turn on communications (is someone out there that can help you), lights (I want to freaking see), etc and try to get off the ship (is there a transporter ship we can fly and get to another planet). That's yall's goal. My goal is to stop you and kill you. Yes, kill you. We take no prisoners!!! Well we do, but we fuck them than we eat them. So don't plan on lasting too long unless you know your comrades go in to save you (who's Mr./Mrs. Popular). I won't overstep my bounds as long as you don't yours. I will try to separate, capture, kill, maim, and fuck you all. So please enjoy my twisted pleasure.

Name: Name's Leo, Leo Storm, but he doesn't remember what it.

Age: Looks to be in his mid twenties.
Looks: 6'4", hundred and eighy five pounds, moderately muscled, light tan, medium length sandy blonde hair (looks brown, honestly, but he's rather touchy about it), and blue eyes, the kind you can see someone's soul through.

He was the Spook from HighCOM, Spec Ops and all that sent with the Pandorum to fufill its primary objective, though he doesn't remember anything. Not even his name. He has been awake for a few weeks, doing his best to stay alive and under the radar. He did manage to find an engineer's suit, though it is badly damaged. He's made his way around using engineering tunnels and hasn't yet found another human being. He's not convinced that he's the last human on board, but he does know that: Those things out there? Not friendly. He had a bad run-in with one already and he barely got away.

I have few limits. I'm bi, so Evangeline's available to men and women, though she doesn't know that she's bi yet.

I'm thinking she's been awake for a few weeks. She knows her way around but still doesn't have much of a clue what's going on. She had a near miss with an alien but didn't really see what it was. For now she's sticking to airvents and maintenance tunnels, observing others but not making her presence known yet.

One of the family members brought along for the trip, Issac's father was an engineer, so Issac had inherited a rather decent skill set to use on instinct for the two and a bit years he’s been awake, usually being able to use places that some kind of power shortage or hardware fault has rendered inaccessible, not to mention knowing just what parts to hold on to while scavenging.

Mark is some kind of rich stockbroker that is around because he bought his way on board the ship. He has a posh accent and is rather self-centered, and he's above screwing other people to save himself. He has very little useful experience for this manner of situation-still, he's quite clever, and he might be able to weasel his way out of situations he finds himself in, if he can figure out what's going on soon enough.

Mark woke up about a day or two ago, in a part of the ship that still has power. He knows that there is something wrong, mostly due to the fact that there are no people around, and he knows that there are sections of the ship which have no power. After trying the internal comm for several hours, he raided all the rations he could find, and stuffed them into a duffel, decided he needs to try and find the bridge or a control center of some sort.

Okay I want to say thank you for everyone who joined. I've made a list of players. UKStud I'm assuming you weren't able to come up with a character and will be following the thread. I hope you get as much enjoyment from it as I'm going to. We have a great cast and I can't wait for them to get oh so evil.

A few things to clear up: I'm assuming all men (because of the strictly straight part) do not want to get raped or anything from the male aliens. I want to say there will be no force or rape on that part though it may get close. Meaning the male alien might hug or try to touch you. Of course you can try to fight your way out or something. Just saying it'll be scary and dark and I want no one to 'feel' safe even though hard limits will NOT be crossed. I promise. If anyone has a problem with that please tell me here so I make sure not to even do the hug or the nearness of it. I understand that's a hard limit and won't push it.

Hard limits were put in people's applications and I will respect them.

There were some people who didn't specify if they had been awake for awhile. I assumed this meant you hadn't been awake at all and are just waking up. So keep in mind you have no idea what the hell is going on.

Also I cannot stress enough that I'm going to try to make this as dark as my little wicked imagination will let me. There will be strong hints of BDSM (the slave thing like force, etc), rape, torture not really my thing (but some essence of it) and other dark thoughts. I hope I got that across before. Again if this is too much please inform me here so I know where to draw the line. So without further ado ...



The Ship Layout
The ship has 5 levels Deck A - E
Deck A - is ice cold. It has all the supplies flashlights, shockwaves, suits, storage, etc. Only thing is everything is either frozen over or iced over. You cannot be on Deck A for longer than 20 minutes without frost bite setting in. Though this is the deck that will take all 20 minutes for you to hack your way into the boxes full of food or knives or something. No Others are ever here.

Deck B - is slightly warmer than Deck A. This is the radio comm station and Cafeteria/Mess Hall. Anything that needs communication is located here. Maybe you'll find a stray box that was overlooked in the Mess Hall, but I doubt it . Anything that needs to be cooked, pot, pan, lighter will be found here. All that is needed to survive up here is warm clothing and a jacket. Nothing works up here though. Rarely are Others here. It's cold.

Deck C - Quarters. This is the main living area for everyone. Most people will be found here when they first wake up. This is also where the Others hunt. Ripped clothing can be worn here without any regards for temperature.

Deck D - The Main Deck. This is where the captain would be if he/she were alive or if you needed to control the ship. This is also where information on what happened or the computer system can be located. Is the computer system still online? Can you still communicate with it. The only way to know for sure is on this Deck on the Bridge.

Deck E - This is the reactor. It takes up the whole deck. It powers everything. Want the lights back on, turn it on manually here. Want the computerize weapon cache unlocked. It needs power and you can turn the power back on here at the reactor. The reactor is very very hot. 5 minutes and you're sweating bullets. 30 minutes and you're begging for a glass of water. 2 hours and you're close to dehydration if you haven't had anything to drink. This is also the Others home. The warm temperature suits them. You'll need to wade through their home turf to get to the reactor. If you dare.

If you're going to interact with me, maybe just do it indirectly as a sidebar to whatever it is that these things doing on a daily basis? I'd appreciate at least a small chance even if it's fleeting. And I also thought the extended time in cryo would be messing with our memories. As far as I can see, myself and Leo are the only ones following that so far.

UKStud: I'm going to allow you to join since you did express interest and I do understand about RL getting in the way. That'll mean this will be a 10 person thread, but that's okay. It'll still be interesting and we can still keep everything in line. I'm so anal that it shouldn't be a problem. 5 men and 5 women sounds about right. Which means we'll need 1 more extra female as AngelLightHeart express interest in being the 4th female.

Yeah, I figured that, but the guy has been awake for two years, and in that times he's done his absolute best to make that room safe, with the door welded shut and all, so that's essentially become his happy place on the ship, he lets himself be a little more calm in there.

That said, I'm sure there's some way to get in, the monsters never used the vents in the movie, but that wouldn't stop one from sneaking in that way if our lord and master really wanted to mess with him in his happy place, which would be unbelievably mean and quite fun to write for.

Wendy is a computer specialist, part of the crew assigned to oversee and keep the computers running smoothly. She was scheduled to be woken up as one of the later teams. Unfortunately, her memory of her occupation and computer access codes is still currently a bit spotty due to her time in cryo but she still knows most of her skills, she just doesn't realize it.

Wendy woke up about a week ago with another girl named Rachel. The two of them had started to try and figure out what was going on when one of the Others attacked. Wendy ran and hid, watching from her hiding place as Rachel was raped over and over before being dragged away to be eaten( or was she?) She crept out of hiding and took what was left of Rachel's clothes and gear and snuck away.

Feeling tremendous guilt and fear, Wendy is still skulking about but she doesn't have much of anything; having found only a few scraps of food and some water. She's terrified of her situation and would be willing to do anything to survive; she's hopes to find other people so that they may be able to protect or help her and would be willing to offer what little she has (and/or herself) to someone who could, or make her think they could.

Also I do want to mention that your memories can be as good or as spotty as you like. When you first wake up I would like there to be some confusion, but you can remember things during the course as you wish. For the others that have been awake for a while they could remember more and more of what SHOULD have happened or who they are or know about the ship's floorplans. I put the floor plans more of a basis for us, but the newly awakened shouldn't remember or should have moments of brilliance where they do remember things.

With that said I hope everyone posted an intro thread. I think we're waiting on one more, but I think I'm going to start posting now. mwhahahahaahhaha

No there's more than 3 monsters. I personally will find it a bit difficult to round up 10 people or scare the bejeezus out of 10 people with just 3 Others. There will be hordes upon hordes of the creatures. To feel better about not actually having seen the film you can google or wiki the film. It's pretty bad ass and the real aliens can be seen there. Though I did want the plot twist to be that the Others are the Other crews that had evolved into them it's kinda DUH if you seen the movie.
