If the plans called for including single or multi use gender neutral bathrooms along with traditional bathrooms, I'd support that 100%. But the current plan includes only gender neutral bathrooms, with a number of single use gender neutral bathrooms.

Perhaps it's a way of thinking that will change generation by generation, but as a school boy, entering a bathroom with girls present would have made me feel gross.

If there are enough single use gender neutral bathrooms to accommodate all the students who prefer to use them, that's fine. The article stated there were 8 of them. I don't know what the enrollment of this school is like, but it's entirely possible that's not enough.
