Uh-oh.

Palin's latest: "Our opponent ... is someone who sees America, it seems, as being so imperfect, imperfect enough, that he's palling around with terrorists who would target their own country," Palin told a group of donors in Englewood, Colo. A deliberate attempt to smear Obama, McCain's ticket-mate echoed the line at three separate events Saturday.

"This is not a man who sees America like you and I see America," she said. "We see America as a force of good in this world. We see an America of exceptionalism."

Paling around with terrorists? I didn't think the Rev. Wright was that bad.

I hope this transparent smear attempt comes back to bite McCain on the ass.

They're getting desperate.

(She means Ayers, not Wright.)

It's a political campaign and the Republicans are behind.

On a scarier note, I was driving home yesterday and saw a bumper sticker that read "Vote Sarah Palin. You go, girl!" Like she's the pres candidate? Vote for Sarah because she'd female? Uh-oh, the Hillary voters are coming out of the woodwork.

No, those aren't Hillary voters.

Hillary voters are offended by Sarah Palin, truly.

I have my fingers crossed but don't trust nobody! There are some strange people out there in the electorate, Sarahh . . .

Remember, if Obama wins and gets reelected, Hillary's presidency is down the drain. Some people resent that.

At heart, this country is more sexist than racist.

I never believed Hillary could have been elected.

So. You're upset that people are wowed with Palin, but rather than blaming the Republicans for this, or assuming that those wowed by her ARE republicans...you've decided they must be ex-democrats/Hilary voters?

Sorry to burst your bubble; 99% of women and men with such bumper stickers are Republicans. Or didn't you see them cheering her at the convention? I really doubt any of those folk were Hilary supporters. Maybe there are a few out there who are thinking as stupidly as you say, but by and large, the Hilary voters have overwhelmingly said, "We're not voting for Palin."

So you can't blame this on the Democrats. I will bet you any amount of money you like that the driver of that car never had and never would vote for Hilary.

The truth of the matter is that Obama has been given a free ride by the main stream media and the left in general.

His associations with the criminal elements in Chicago, with elements of the radical left and the black separatist religion should be scrutinized as should his wife's disdain for America as a nation.

Obama is a covert socialist, the most left in the entire Senate and basically, as most of you here, despises America, individual freedom and the free market.

McCain is too much the gentleman to bring pressure on Obama's character, as the ladies of Lit pointed out previously, Palin is not, she will rip Obama to shreds.

I wish her the best of luck.

Amicus

*pats ami on his head*

McCain is a gentleman?

Was that before or after he called his wife a cunt in public?

Anger management issues, he has.

He's no gentleman.

Damnit, Amicus, you're breakin' my heart here! I'm a proud Canuck, but your comment is making me wish I had dual citizenship just so I could vote for the guy.

Nor ever has been. Witness his disciplinary record at Annapolis. This isn't even a POW thing, it was established well prior to that.

I read Ami strictly as comedy anymore. Except every once in a great while he still says something that pisses me off... then I get back at him by offering to give him a kiss so we can explore the parts of our sexuality we may be in denial about. IT never seems to fail to get him riled up. :D

I'd much rather kiss you, Sarahh...

How can I refuse such a man?

Tell him he can call you John Galt when you do it... that'll get him. :D

I thought, in another thread, we established the fact that Ami's compulsion to define his opponents in a discussion proves he is actually a woman. The fact that he sees McCain as a gentleman would only reinforce this conclusion.

Now don't get me wrong. I don't blame ignorant women for being dazzled by McCain's charm and military record, but Ami makes herself out to be an educated woman, perhaps even a woman from the 'elite' class who profess to a level of 'wonkiness' above the rest of us. I think Ami's McCain enfatuation would prove that she is just like all the other women the fake-male Ami professes to detest - clueless and not deserving of the right to vote.

OMG! Ami's Sarah Palin!

Perhaps, but she will be making herself look bad in the process. Then where will the gentleman be?

I can tell you where he won't be. ;)

Why? In eight years Hillary Clinton will be younger than McCain is now (and I'll bet in a lot better shape).

And probably Majority Leader. She won't want to give that up in a risk to run for President. It'll be like being Prime Minister.

She wouldn't have to give that up to run. You don't have to give up any congressional position you have to run. And no elected position either. (Only possible position she'd have to give up first would be Supreme Court Justice--and I've indicated before that there's only the slimmest chance she'd ever accept that position.) If you're strong enough, you can run for (and win--in which case you'd have to drop the lower position) both your incumbancy and the presidency at the same time (if you're unlucky enough to have your incumbancy come up in a presidential year).

I think you underrate her ambition, intent, and possible sticking power.

Sarah Palin is a MILF though. I like the way she does her hair, makes me think of a librarian. The book burning kind, that wants you to read just he "right books" like 'Mine Kamf' or "Burning Books for Jesus".

I'd do her though I wouldn't vote for her.

I think you over rate her appeal, but that's just me. Can't stand the woman!
