I want to share something that happened to me in my first marriage, and I'd like to know if this is common with men or women. When we had sexual intercourse, I sometimes found it impossible to get in, because she was scared that I might hurt her physically. So of course she would tense up, which meant I had to reasure her that I would be as gentle as possible. Often I would have to stop trying, not that that bothered me you understand, because the last thing I wanted to do was make her feel uncomfortable.

But I was always sure that women in general liked their men big, I now know that that is not the case. Yet, there were times when my first wife would almost rape me, she was so eager to have sex. Okay, I'm over dramatising here, but I think you know what I mean.

So, why does this happen, is it the time of month for a woman to completely let go of her emotions, or is it just the wrong mood that makes it go bad.

Carl.

Carl,

So sweet that you were so caring and loving.

That condition is called "vaginismus," I believe. It is indeed caused by anxiety and tension... it is a step by step process to overcome, and takes a LOT of patience, and a strong ability on the partner's end to be relaxing and soothing.

Anyway, I could go into great detail, but that should suffice for now? If not, ... um... e-me or just reply to this thread.. my computer is really really slow tonight for some reason so may not be tonight.

xoxo
