I don't have the same level of emotional involvement or right maybe, because I don't live in the US so I haven't been directly affected by your presidents.

But what really did it for me was his speech at the Capitol protest.
It was gross and tacky, mostly "poor Me" "help Me". And after he stirred those laypeople up "let's march at the Capitol, I'll join you there", he boarded his luxurious personal plane to avoid any impression of direct involvement and prosecution!

That means 249,000 more people vote for Biden this time around than for Trump.

Not too mention, the only votes that count are in the Electoral College and Trump lost that by74 votes.

I want to add one more thing here, and I’ll try to do that soundly:

I grew up a Republican.

I can remember being completely disgusted by the Jimmy Carter years (which, spin it however you’d like cuz he’s a swell guy and everything - were a shit show; absolutely everything was broken and he simply could not fix it. Not that a president is factually responsible for all events or inabilities throughout his administration. He’s the President and he’s gotta own it.)

Huge fan of Ronald Reagan. Sorry, Reagan got shit done. Absolutely re-established our national pride and everything went upward (except for The Wall; that came down). Reagan - kicked butts into gear where Carter couldn’t. Fakt.

I was a proud Repubican and always thought the Dems hearts were in the right place but they’re too stupid to execute what’s necessary. Their hearts get in the way of logic and absolutes.

Then I voted for Obama. Why? Cuz I’ve never vote according to my party affiliation. I vote for what I like. I even voted for Ross Perot. Yup (and that might make me stupid, thank god he didn’t win). Obama, was clearly and IS - sound, and smart, and logical a thinker. And I loved hearing him react to anything that I found challenging. I like hearing him, speak, okay? It grounded me.

But 2yrs in to the “negro occupation” the Republican party was a fucking disgrace. They were ONLY intersted in obscuring whatever the hell he was attempting to do. There was NO go route - it was all about the negro and a No vote.

So I left the fuckin party and to my surprise have seen it only get worse since then. Did I register Democrat? Absofuckinlutely not. Democrats suck. I’m an Independant.

My guess is that many of them need charisma in their political leader as a substitute to being able to find it in their own lives. Democracy tends to play down individuality in leaders. To shine in the context of democracy is a rare ability. I believe Lyndon Johnson had it and to a lesser extent, Ronald Reagan.
