I worry about America, that's all...

I'm trying to scream her and her citizens into safety and an attitude of commonsense...

LMAO...okay I give up...

Personally I think that the world would be a poorer place without the influence the US wields... Bush is a dick but you seem to rail without point at the general American populace... that's what I can't figure...

he wants to turn us into gingoistic carbon copies of him, i'll wager. p_p_clones.

scary!

I don't think I do. It may look like that when I say "you Americans" or "hey America", but it can make a post a bit too unweldy to differentiate between all the diferrimg factions in a debate.

I suppose you could say I am angry at Americans as a whole for allowing Bush to become President. One lot for voting him in and the other lot for not protesting enough when he stole the election.

It was such an obvious miscarriage of any country's voting procedure I was waiting for the riots in the streets, the burning of buildings, the protests in Congress, the sit-ins at the White House...

What happened? A few very mild comments about the Constitution and the Electoral College.

Yeah I suppose I can lay the blame on the whole of America for inflicting Bush on the world...

:D

*cough*wars*cough*

In our history, since 'britain' or 'england' actually existed as a nation we've had more wars than i can count. If we had a perfect record we'd rule the world right now....

at one point we had control over about 25% of the world's land mass, plus a shitload of control over the other watery 70% of the planet. Beat that, cultural imperialists!

ppman just sucks, Bush rocks, and Bush will be here for 4 more years, and ppman will be insane. But by then ppman will in an padded cell.....

um... he was talking about England, i think.

and think of how much percentage Russia takes up with all its uninhabited land and such. then add China. Brazil. Mexico. 80% of what is now the US. southern France. Spain. Germany. Poland. Austria. Hungary. Yugoslavia. a good hunk of Africa. Japan. quite a lot of South America. Sweden. Norway. Italy. Turkey. Korea. and on and on....

but come on. 25% of the world is really a good hunk, when you think about it.

Why do I want to replace "waiting for" with "drooling, with bated breath, in eager anticipation of"

And England had the good 25%, too. Ever been to Fiji? I do have to thank you limeys for making sure everyone on the Pacific Rim speaks English. It really makes travelling easier.

so what happened? why ain't you still the "Empire on Which the Sun Never Sets," hmm?

"The sun never sets on the Union Jack," I think, is the way they put it.

I think they stopped calling their flag the "Union Jack," and it all went downhill from there...

Oh, do they? Well, in that case, I think it was the halitosis and bad teeth. You just can't sustain an empire when you lose your dignity every time you open your mouth.

GW Bush would do well to keep that in mind.

the sun never set because, obviously, there was always a part of the world we ruled/governed where it was daytime. People wanted independance... like them yank characters. They had to fight for it... in the 20th century, y'all simply had to have petitions and public will to break away.
All of North America, Australia, a sizeable chunk of Africa and islands all over the globe.... THATS why English is the global language
