He had type 2 diabetes, which is caused by obesity and will kill you. The "Health at Any Size" movement must be funded by the depopulation agenda (tin foil hat time) because I can't see any other reason to promote that with a straight face.

I benefit, too. I'm technically overweight by 15lbs, according to "official" measurements. But it fills me out just fine.

There's a difference in a few pounds and morbid obesity.

That 'ideal' weight thing is crazy, it depends on a lot of factors. My ideal weight is supposed to be 178 (I'm 5'9" so not very tall) but I've been as low as 160 and as high as 190 and in great shape with very low body fat at both because I got to each weight deliberately and for a reason.

Anything 20 pounds or even a little more over what you should way is not going to be life threatening. At that point the need to lose is as much about vanity.
