I have a sack of oysters and I am gonna eat 'em with my sisters and brother. We do three things with them: eat them raw on the half-shell, toss them on the barbeque pit until the shells pop open then dip them in garlic butter, or put them in gumbo.

There's something about a cold winter day, a sack of oysters, cold beer, and family. Life's good.

Forgot about that... oysters are supposed to be an aphrodisiac because most of their body mass consists of gonads.

I love steamed clams though, are they the same?

Oysters on the half shell with a dash of tobasco == good eating. In oyster stew = good eating. in turkey stuffing = good. YEP me likes oysters.
Clams be good steamed too. can only eat a bushel of either clams or oysters at a setting tho.
