A straight blackmail - like "you go to prison if you don't obey" - I dislike strongly.
Cornering someone so they have no choice but to obey - that's more erotic. An example of such scenario would be she's deep in loans and they can use this as a leverage against her. Also, you refer to her as wife/gf - to whom? And whats the role of her significant one in this story? Where do you want it to end?

I'd do this a closed-setting. Where the office and her apartment are isolated from the outside world - either literally or the outside world is simple neglected by you as an author. There are no visitors, no friends meetings depicted - at most the phone calls.
You can situate it in a faraway land, foreign land or on some kind of an island. Or you can place it in the middle of NY but write around her exposure to the society, making the effect that her office life is her everything.

You may explore a bit of fantasy/sci-fi settings. A world where women are more submissive to men, or more dependent. A world where they can be straight-out bought by the company and owned, their civil rights reserved. It's expensive, but the guys put their finances together and buy her as an office slave, beginning her training.

One more possibility is shaming her into it. Say she's kinky and horny, and she's experimenting with her sexuality. She goes through training of making herself cum/edge every other hour in the bathrooms during work hours, and she gets discovered.
