Haven't the slightest. I'll find out soon enough.

We'll all find out too soon for our liking, I imagine. Death never waits for our convenience.

It's the only truly democratic institution. ;)

I have no idea what will happen to "me" after I die.

Strong leanings toward reincarnation, though.

Even if I don't want to.

You forgot one of my favorite choices: "I'll finally join the aliens on the great mothership!"

Yet again...

And most likely won't remember a whole lot about this life in the next one. Again.

Perhaps that's a blessing from the Gods? Maybe you don't want to remember past shit. There's enough to stress people out from THIS life, as Aurora noted in the other thread.

Yet again what?

I remember way too much.

That's no fun either. Miss people, grieve for stuff that isn't even here any more.

From a past life? Damn, that sucks! The only drawback of immortality, as far as I am concerned. If I were immortal, I might go nuts with the pain or just close up and not dare to love anyone again.

*sings*

"Going on up to the Spirit in the sky, thats where I'm gonna go when I die..."

No surprises there, huh. I'm on my way to Heaven baby, yeah! :nana:

As the song from Queen goes, "Who wants to live forever, when love must die?"

There can be only ONE!

Thanks for the feedback so far. I know it's a morbid topic, but I was curious as to people's thoughts on the afterlife.

I lean toward Heaven / Hell / Purgatory, and I'm inclined to think I'm racing towards the latter. :p

My individuality will become a kami and will probably move between the Summerland and this world to watch over my family. My energy will go back into the divinity and will be used to make new people.

Spent a load of time thinking about afterlives actually. Changing religion, or indeed finding one, gives you a great deal of pause for thought and I decided the concept of heaven and hell was too binary for me. What happens if you're mildly naughty? So, I did some research and a lot of thinking and came to the conclusion that there's no value in a punishment for badness. Far better to reward goodness on a sliding scale of how good you are, which is where the idea of kamis (Shinto concept of spirit/individuality/ghost) comes in. The better a person you were, the more influence/power/rewards you get as a kami. The truly wicked do not continue and their individualities just finish being. It makes sense to me and allows me to sleep at night, so it'll do until I find out for certain.
